Remember that Kross Vertex skin I did a while back? Where it was like this giant crack in the middle of the weapon and there was this cool rainbow effect on the crack itself? Yeah, that was sweet. Like, really sweet.

This skin is something of a successor to that skin. The biggest problems with the Kross Vertex skin were that the base gradient and the body pattern kind of conflicted with each other and looked gross, the crack effect was a little more tame than a lot of people would have liked, and because the base gradient I used was fairly wonky I had to manually force all gadgets and stocks to appear as solid black lumps which worked but felt lackluster.

This skin is not held back by any of those problems. There are more cracks all over the body of the weapon. The base gradient and the body pattern fit together nicely. And, fortunately enough, the base gradient works well enough on its own that I don't need to do any workarounds to make the weapon look decent when modded.

I think this skin looks a lot better than its predecessor. You agree with me, right?

Side note: In case you're wondering why I didn't just apply these improvements to the old Kross Vertex skin instead of making an entirely new skin for an entirely new gun, part of it is because I lost the work-in-progress files for the Kross Vertex body pattern to a hard drive error and part of it is because I got my hands on the legendary skin for that gun and haven't had much incentive to make more things for it as a result. All the same, though, if enough people demand it I can do a complete retool of the old skin to bring it in line with this one. Not a problem.

Side side note: As usual, this *is* freely available via BeardLib, with a link to a repository with this and other skins on my profile.

That's all I have to say. Have fun.
