"A little over a year ago, some 400+ Red Orchestra and Rising Storm veterans and regulars gathered onto the Bloodbath Discord for a community meeting to discuss the end days of these games. It was proposed that since there were still some veterans, regulars, and good battles left to be had, that Bloodbath could close down and end on that note. Instead, the community elected to downsize, and ultimately to continue on the fight to support the game until the very end. As it stands for Rising Storm and it’s dwindling American player base, that end has finally come.

This weekend, Bloodbath will be hosting a symbolic farewell event to Rising Storm for the North American community. Come round up your old Pacific companions, and answer the call to celebrate this beloved game finally coming to pass in our region after a fun-filled 5+ years. And should you come from Rising Storm: Vietnam, this would be a great opportunity to discover the roots of the game and what it was like during its heyday.

Despite it all, it’s important to remember that for a period of our lives a lot of fun times were had and many good friendships and lasting memories created along the way. Let’s hold onto those, as we venture forth as a community into a new frontier of other lands and battles to discover.

But before we do... let’s give Rising Storm the final hurrah it deserves. Tennōheika Banzai!

Friday:
S.hitty Map Night @ 8PM - 10PM ET

As an old Bloodbath favorite, we’ll break the ice with a preview night, showcasing rarely played or never before seen RS1 maps. Generally lackluster, disfunctional, or goofy in nature, these maps will be the basis of a carefree evening leading up to the mainstream gameplay over the weekend.

Saturday:
All-Day Vanilla Campaign w/ Historical Rotation @ 8PM - 12AM ET

With general campaigns throughout the day, the evening highlight will be a rotation of maps based on the historical order of battles in the Pacific. With the addition of custom maps and broadcasted historical context, this quasi-campaign is designed to appease the tastes of both rotation and campaign lovers alike.

Sunday:
All-Day Vanilla Campaign w/ Bloody Sunday @ 8PM - 12AM ET

Following the general campaigns of the day, the weekend event will culminate in the gathering in of as many RS1 veterans and regulars as possible for an evening of competitive and tactical gameplay. While in-game comms will strictly be for tactics during this period, you’re encouraged to join the community on our Discord to banter with or s.hittalk your friends!
