"It truly is the Dawn of Ys now. The last Double Review in this retrospective of the Ys series. Ys 4 is the last game split into multiple major release with big differences, with the Super Nintendo release of Mask of the Sun and the PC Engine release of Dawn of Ys.

Ys - The Mask of the Sun was release by Tonkin House on the Super Nintendo one month before Hudson released Dawn of Ys on the PC Engine. The difference in quality is staggering, despite both following a general outline by Falcom.
