Introduction
If you're anything like me, you might think the enclosure size requirements in 'Jurassic World: Evolution' are kind of convoluted.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A dinosaur's information will tell you that they want Xm^2 of Grassland and of Forest, but the game never really gives you any indication of how large the enclosure you've built is, or how long fence sections are so that you can at least measure it out and multiply one side by another for the total area inside.

I've seen people mention that one single section of fence is 10m, but whenever I tried to use that to get the measurement for the inside area, I always wound up with uncomfortable dinosaurs. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I haven't been able to find a guide that's actually helped me in this regard; so if you're like me then you might find this guide helpful.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This guide will include Claire's Sanctuary dinosaurs once I can afford it. For the time being, this only has DLC dinosaurs up to 1.8 - I'm sorry!
Method Part 1
First off, I want to start by showing the method I used to measure out my enclosures.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is one segment of fence - it is the shortest piece of fence that you are able to place:

So measure this out five times...

And then five more for a total of ten segments...

Here, you can see that one whole section of fence (the longest you can place in one click) is ten of the small segments:

So I just made fifty of these segments, divided them by five, and wound up with this:
Method Part 2
Here's an example of how it works:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I started out with a 10x10 enclosure and placed just enough trees to meet this Edmontosaurus' Forest need:

Here's a better view of the enclosure size (again, 10x10):

Its Forest need is good, but we need more Grassland. So I add two segments on either side to make the enclosure 12x12, which should be just enough to also meet its Grassland requirement:

Ta-da!

Not too hard, right? Basically all I did to find the size requirements was to place whatever dinosaur inside a small enclosure, place just enough Forest so that it was comfortable, and then expand by one section on both sides until both the Grassland and the Forest space requirements were just barely satisfied.

You could probably get it even smaller if you don't want to use equal sides for the enclosures, but I found it easiest to keep everything symmetrical.

The End!!
I hope you enjoyed my little guide!

It's mostly just for me to reference, but I figured if it's helpful to me then someone else might find it useful as well.
If you find any errors, feel free to let me know so I can correct it.

Thanks!

Seems like one section of fence is 5m actually. I don't know, how others calculated, but I checked you sizes against dinosaur's desired area from wiki, and if we assume that section is 5 meters all numbers mutches perfectly.

Here I am in 2021, I've been playing this off and on since release, and this is still the single most useful guide I've found for this game. Fantastic work.
