• About the Island Cannon

Isla Sorna is an island 333 kilometers (207 miles) west of Costa Rica. Isla Sorna is the largest island of The Five Deaths island chain, located north east of Isla Tacaño and south of Isla Muerta.

After InGen bought Isla Sorna, they code-named the island "Site B". Isla Sorna became InGen's "factory floor", where dinosaurs were cloned in the various facilities InGen built on the island. The dinosaurs were nursed in temporary cages until they were fit to be transported to Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, 87 miles east of Isla Sorna.

After Hurricane Clarissa hit the island, all personnel were evacuated from the island and the facilities were later abandoned. However, before they left, the InGen personnel unlocked the cages so that the dinosaurs could have a better chance of surviving the storm. Within a few years, the dinosaurs took over the island and established a fully functional ecosystem. However, with the introduction of numerous illegal species of dinosaurs in 1999, the island's ecosystem collapsed, and the surviving animals were shipped to Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.

• In Game Island Info

Isla Sorna is a mix of emotions it can be really hard or really easy, there are storms on the island including the dreaded tornado of death that can roll through and wrek your day.

Isla sorna starts out completely blank out side of basic structures.


The island has Dino's already out and about including a movie star with "large sharp teeth"

• Starting Out

So starting out on the island your main goal will be to capture the roaming dino's already on the island and of course cage them for NPC viewing pleasure.

• Step Uno

With my other guide Isla Pena the strat is all the same the easiest way to do this is to establish your island first build up a money pool of about 200-300mil and do a sand box like build.

I have made a video of this build to show how much easier it is to do it this way over the add over time especially on this island.

• Step TWO 3/4

Once you've built up that money POOL and call your self a succesful tycoon youre going to take all that money and gamble it on a game of 5 round Russian roulette and you go first! (Just kidding its not that dangerous)

Your first goal will be to clean out the island of all previous contructions dinosaurs and cages.

Okay so now you have your open area's and are ready too build we are going to start right away with the entrance / facility this is where youre going to temporarily house your Dino Lab / Power / ACU.
A little some thing like this.

Below is a video i made to show the general build path you should take to make this all work in the end the total time lapse video is about 2 hours and 22 minutes. Dont worry about every thing thats going on i will break it down further in the rest of the guide.

Okay so we are making some good progress on the Island and this is the tricky part laying out your attractions to maximize space and comfort for your guests and animals.

• Pros and Cons of my design

Cons
Tornado's could break walls and intermix dino's making for a great dino smack down match
Gate Sabotage could screw you (I never had this happen so long as every one is about even on task's)

So lets talk about Variation and how scary it is!

Okay so variation is not that scary but in JWEVO you can build 1 of 2 ways and the first way is the safest but requires a bit more time and work the second way is how i build most of my parks.

• Option 1

You can use the exact same lay out but instead of using any Carnivores you can use all Herbivore's this how ever requires you to spend more time baking dino's to fill up the pens. You also have to pay attention to comfort social levels and dinosaur ratings it tkaes a bit more time but its completely doable in this format.

• Option 2

You will use this same exact format and have a mix of species and hope for the best... but no seriously Carnivore's have really high 5 star rating's with very little to no effort in gene mods and most Carnivore's are solo meaning you dont need as many dinosaurs to get a higher rating (until the new patch comes out and you can have mommy t-rex and daddy t-rex)

Both of these i have done on this island and both have resulted in 5 stars 2 pictures show the differnce in a 5 star Carnivore and a 5 star Herbivore.

Now for the fun exciting part!

ALL DINO'S are Gened to have LIFESPAN you should do the same it makes your life a whole lot easier my Anky's where the first species in my park and after 2 hours of game play only hit the rype old age of 36 with a max life span of 198.

Here is a list of all the species in my park from highest rating to lowest rating as well as tips to keep them happy.

indominus Rex or Indo Raptor (i dont like the indo raptor)
So this guy's not all that bad as long as your walls are electric he wont break out most of the time due to a storm how ever tornado's will almost always cause a breakout so just make sure your ACU is ready to trank.




Spinosaurus
I Have 2 Spino's because social groups... they are fighting in the screen cap BUT THEY NEVER HURT ONE ANOTHER they square up and one will panic and run. Make sure they are in an electric pen and you're good.




Gigantosaurus
What? you thought the T-Rex was going to be 3rd? hahaa!!! but the Giga is also a 2 pack animal and is a must for that sweet score. Electric fence's and goats work well and they will square up just like the spino but they will never hurt one another.




Tyranosaurus Rex
Rexy is on the same page as Indom how ever Frontier likes to make her curious as hell so she WILL find exploits in your cage and i had this issue when she was first put in the pen electric fences are a must.





Mamenchisaurus First Herby on the List super easy not much to worry about high pop dino with low social only 4 they live in resort world






Brachiosaurus
Second Herby on the list super easy as well another high pop dino with mild social i only have 4 they live in resort world.






Ceratosaurus
This bundle of joy is low maintnance and you can have 3 of them roll together electric is not required usually never breaks out during storms unless the tornado lets them out.





Diplodocus
Another fun Herby they hang in the Resort World group and are easy rating points.








Dilophosauraus
I didn't have to look up the Dilo's name I could spell it thats how much I love these guys, they are like gold fish you can have 12 of them in a family and they are fun as hell to watch.





Ankylosaurus
Anky's man what terrible attitudes... easy to maintain get picky with populati i have 4.
they live with Pachy's






Torosaurus
Another Dino with a bad tude... picky on pop 4 max. They live iwth Trikes I have 4.







Pachycephalosaurus
The angry dudes who hit things with their heads. they hang with the Anky's I have 4.







Corythosaurus
These cool dudes work well in the Resort World enclosure I have 6.







Edmontosaurus
Same as Cory's they are cool and work well in the resort world enclosure I have 4.







Triceratops
Holy crap this guy doesnt have Saurus in its name!!!! they are chill despite being devilish looking they hang with their cousin's Toro's in a group of 4.







Try to keep your Carnivores together i put my armored/fighting Herbivores in between some of the carno's to keep some cusion incase of a tornado how ever the Indom should always be your first tranq priority since he can kill mostly any thing in one shot or two.

• Resorts

So this is the 2nd most important on your list you MUST have at least 7 prefered 8 resorts in the park this will help over crowding this is a big park that means lots of guests if you dont have enough resorts you will be stuck at that 4.5

• Transit

This is your 1st FIRST priority make sure you place your monorail right next to your park entrance and throw in a station or 2 around your resorts/exhibits this will get you above %50 transit which gets you that 5 star rating.

• Facility

The Facility can be done in a few different ways i put all the devision buildings together with the dig site, research center, and, fossil lab.

You should only need 1 ACU and 2 Ranger stations.
I would suggest 4 Large power generators with 2 3.0 outage protection and 3 3.0 over voltage mods for a healthy power supply.

You shouldn't have to keep a Hammon creation lab to sustain as long as your dino's have Life span gene mods if you cant do this i recommend keeping your 2 labs at the park entrance and dont place the devision buildings there.

• Guest Accomidations

This part is easy when you've been playing for a bit just pack a load of Restaurants, Bars, Clothing Stores, and, Arcades you want to set the manager level to max allowing the most customer volume pricing varries based on your actual need for income but you shouldnt have to worry about money if youre doing a fresh build like i did during this guide. (Bars usually = ez money $100 a drink at 1200 capacity = 120k per bar)

• Weather Stations & Shelters

This is critical as well the park safety is important all it takes is one tornado and youre screwed if people start dieing due to dino escapes and there not being enough shelters your rating will drop for a long while try to shoot for %95+ coverage for both weather and shelter.

Welp if you have made it this far i really hope you get the 5 star's on Isla Sorna i recommend just watching the youtube video to get a rough idea of how you should place buildings enclosures and accomidations.

This guide is still a bit rough ive spent a good 6 hours creating it and need to iron out some grammar/spell check so dont go to ham on me for that.
