Though it's probably quite obvious, if you've goofed up or it's your first time playing, start a new game and work your way through the creation process for your character and company.



When choosing the first location of your garage, you will have an easier time starting if you base your operations out of a larger more centralized city.

So now you have a company, a base, and no truck to drive or employees to pay. Whelp. While you may initially take out a loan, it would be advisable to save up some capital and gain some experience first, this will also enable you to take out larger loans in the future at lower interest rates.

Let's find some work. Click "Job Market" on the lower portion of your screen, and select "Quick Job".



Once in this menu you can view and sift through a listing of nearby work. At first all of the numbers, brands, and various trucks may appear overwhelming, but after a few hours time you will develop a feel for different types of freight and the handlings of various models of trucks. This will allow you to be more picky with your loads and vehicles, and give you an idea of what type of trucks you may want to purchase for your own use in the future.

To maximize your return on your early efforts since you likely haven't much preference of cargo or ride, it's advisable to sort your transporting options by Euros per km.



Be careful with this sorting method, however. Notice the top listing in red, the price per km is very high, but the job is only within the town the freight resides in, and gives you a small amount of profit. If you are after a longer and more profitable job, you'll have to look down a bit further to a job like the one circled in yellow that moves freight between towns.

As you level up your character, it is wise to put a point in each tab before stacking for experience to unlock all job types. In the middle of unlocking these, expanding your maximum trip distance once or twice up to 500km trips will enable you to make more money in a playing session.

After a few thousand kilometers and hopefully 50k or so Euros, you should recieve an email from the bank notifying you of your success and raising your loan limit to 500k. This is just the opportunity you need to really start your business!

If you are unapposed to spending money you don't have like us Americans, go to the bank from the escape menu, and take out a hefty 400k loan to get your business rolling.

However you approach getting more capital, the next step in expanding your business is to purchase your own truck! From the main menu click the "Truck Dealers" button to view all of the truck dealers that you have discovered on your travels. If you have been paying attention to the trucks that you have been driving, you may have a brand or two in mind that you have enjoyed driving or looking at. If you have discovered a dealer of a brand of trucks you like, go to the dealer and see if they have a model that you can purchase at your level. There aren't many for sale below level 10.

With the truck you've purchased, you may explore the world freely. You may also make more money by taking freight jobs instead of quick jobs. These are listed in the same tab as quick jobs.

When accepting a freight job, make sure to click on the map the town that you are in so you do not have to drive far to make the pickup. At the location you must accept the job, attatch the load, and then drive it to the dropoff point. Keep an eye on your fuel! You must pay for it yourself now, and make sure to keep rested at truck stops and hotels.

Your first truck won't have much power, try and avoid heavy and oversized loads to make deliveries on time and avoid the headache of creeping up hills on the highway.

With any money you have left, or once you have saved up some more capital, it is time to expand your garage! This will allow you to hire employees and park more trucks for them to drive.

You should only have one garage listed, click it, and in the top left find the option to upgrade it. This will run you around 180k, but will enable you to hire two employees and park two additional trucks.

Once your garage is expanded, feel free to either recoup your losses or continue to expand your business! Purchase a truck or two more at your leisure, and hire worthy employees from the recruitment agency tab from the agencies you've discovered to drive the trucks you purchase. They will take jobs on their own and make you money, though substantially less than you can make on your own.

From the company manager tab you can keep track of your employees's statuses, your trucks, and your garages. From the start, all of your employees are set to level in a balanced manner, you may adjust this to specialize them to meet the needs of your garage location based on the industries present there, or leave them as general purpose truckers.
