Manipulator Skin Pack



This mod is currently unsupported and quite buggy, use at your own risk

This mod https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1428179746 is a safer bet

Craft a Manipulator Skin vending machine at the inventor's table for 300 pixels. You can purchase all skins from there.

Adds all the coloured MMs I've done so far. How this works is you purchase a skin, 'use' it then all of your tools change. No additional mods necessary.

Uninstalling will turn your coloured MMs into generic items.

Hmm, I am a spriter not a coder, and I don't believe Neb is interested in working on this further. I think you're right, best bet for now is to direct people to other MM mods instead.

there isn't really a tool ID for that, the game uses a default manipulator when placing blocks, so the blocks themselves are the "tool" all reskins that don't replace the original texture suffer from that, including elithians various racial manipulator skins. i don't know how you'd do it but you'd need to make something that allowed default tile placement to call a variable texture that either uses a parameter set when you use a skin pack, or copies the texture of one of the tools. I don't know if it's even possible and i would assume it's outside the scope of execution for this mod.

Is there any way for this mod to replace the block placing function of the Manipulator, which, at least for me, is still the remaining protectorate manipulator? I'd enjoy having a consistently coloured tool, but no biggie if not. Great mod overall. :)

I just realized why I can't use this mod.
I always tested it on characters who hadn't fully unlocked the manipulator's tools.

The template skin would change all the MM for all races, yes.

The Manipulator Skin Pack coding is done by Neb, so I don't know the ins n outs on how it works and how to make it play nice with other mods.

With the Purchasable Manipulator Pack the MMs and tools are custom items separate from the vanilla tools. I've not made a template for the custom tools.

But does it work with MM Configurator?
Because I didn't want something that changes ALL handlers.
Just something to be able to customize the handler of each species individually.
I liked the Purchasable Manipulator Pack.

I have no plans on updating any of my MM mods. I am a little burnt out :P. I have template on how to make your own MM skin if that works for you?
