Intro
Lethal League Blaze has a ton of hidden techniques that are not explained to you. I only know a handful at the moment, but I thought I'd put them here for all to see. This guide is a work-in-progress as the community works to find the secrets. Be sure to check back for more!

Don't forget to purchase How to Play 2 in the Showcase. There are a few techniques in there you may not know which won't be explained here.
Techniques which can be performed by any character
Getup
  • When you are lying on the floor after a big hit, there are 3 ways to stand back up. The first way is to press a movement direction and you will do a quick getup. The second way is to simply wait and eventually you will stand back up automatically. The third way is to press swing. When you press swing, if the ball is not near you, you will get up and be forced to taunt, which can be dangerous. If you press swing and the ball is near you, you will tether the ball to the front of yourself and make it so no one else can hit it temporarily. You are free to move with the ball during this time.
Fast Fall
  • After you reach the apex of a jump, pressing down in midair will cause you to fall much faster.
Parry Extending
  • When you hit the ball and you can parry, if you hold down bunt you can extend the parry's length as long as you hold the button. This is a risky move because the enemy can grab the ball out of your parry.
Charge Attack
  • If you hold down swing, your character will begin to flash as they charge an attack. You must stand still while charging, but it does not take long. After the charge is complete (or if you release swing 4 frames or less before the animation completes), they will perform a normal-looking swing. If you hold jump during the charge (or press it near the end with correct timing), you will jump and then swing. If either charged swing connects with the ball, the hitlag (the time before the ball is released from your swing) is significantly reduced.
Sliding Charge Attack
  • If you run, then crouch and hold swing while sliding, you will begin a charge attack while moving. You will only go as far as the slide would take you.
Knocking enemies around
  • If you charge a swing and it connects with an opponent's character who is crouching, they slide far away from you. If they keep holding crouch, they slide farther than they would if they let go after being hit.
How to tell if you are going to die in 1 hit
  • If the yellow bar of your health is blinking, that means 1 hit from the ball at the current speed will kill you.
Free Meter
  • If your meter bar is 3/4 full, you can taunt and it will fill up completely. You do not need to complete the taunt to get the meter.
Diminishing Smashes
Alternate Special Input
  • Instead of pressing swing then swing to perform a special, you can instead input swing then grab. For both, the first swing obviously must connect with the ball.
Slowing the ball
  • If you throw the ball downwards, it slows down by 25%. If you bunt the ball, it loses 3 speed.
Turn around in midair
  • When in midair, normally you can't change the direction you are facing. You can however achieve this by holding up + the direction you aren't facing and either swinging or bunting. This will neutral swing or bunt accordingly. Alternatively, you can hold the direction you aren't facing and swing in order to turn around and smash.
Pivot
  • When running on the ground, if you press up or crouch and then quickly press the opposite direction (within 4 frames of crouching), you will turn around much faster.
Candyman Techniques
Warp
  • If you run, crouch, and slide into a wall on either side of the stage, you will warp to the other side.
Jump Height
  • Candyman has the highest jump in the game. It goes almost all the way to the ceiling.
Continuing his special
  • If you hit the ball from your own special, it can continue traveling through walls. This can be done indefinitely.
Mouth Moods
  • Pressing Q on the keyboard will close Candyman's mouth with the default skins. If you have a straitjacket skin, Candyman opens his mouth instead. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a controller input that does this. (This technique is client-sided, meaning that when you press Q, only you can see Candyman's mouth moving.)
Hat Trick
  • If you hold up and bunt while taunting, Candyman's hat (or the nail on his head with straitjacket skins) will disappear. Doing this again will return his hat.
Dice Techniques
Super Jump
  • If you hold crouch and then jump, Dice will jump much higher, as high as Candyman.
Bunt out of special
  • If you press bunt during Dice's special, after the ball hits the ground, it will act as if it was just bunted.
Ball to the wall
  • If you use Dice's special and the ball rolls along the ceiling, you can hold down and it will slide all the way along the ceiling to the wall, and then it will slide down the wall to the floor, where it will then bounce off. If you did not hold down, the ball would bounce off of the wall at the top.
Hat Trick
  • If you hold up and bunt while taunting, Dice's hat will disappear (with the default skins). Doing this again will return his hat.
Doombox Techniques
Second Special
  • If you have full meter, you can spend it by pressing jump while crouching to perform a shockwave. The shockwave has a large range and hits the ball horizontally. It also knocks enemies away a fair distance.
Flight
  • Doombox does not have a second jump, but holding the jump button allows you to fly. The flight lasts about 3-4 seconds and you can move freely while flying. You can swing while flying, and hitting the ball extends the flight time. Bunting or throwing ends the flight.
Bunt out of special
  • During Doombox's special, you can press bunt to bunt the ball immediately instead of waiting for it to fly towards the opponent as normal.
Dust & Ashes Techniques
Bunt out of special
  • If you hold bunt during Dust & Ashes' special, after the ball exits Ashes, it will act as if it was just bunted. The ball will bunt towards Dust.
Glide
  • If you hold jump after performing a midair jump, Dust & Ashes will descend much slower. You can let go of jump at any time to cancel and fall normally. You can also reactivate the glide afterwards by holding jump again before you touch the ground.
Grid Techniques
Teleporting during special
  • When using Grid's special, he can teleport up to two times. Press the swing button and hold a direction to teleport. Teleporting sideways will hit the ball horizontally. Teleporting down hits the ball straight down if you're still in the air. Teleporting upwards hits the ball at a downward angle. If you teleport in a direction, let go of that direction before he reaches his destination, then begin holding down before he finishes the teleport, he will hit the ball straight down. This even works when teleporting down to the ground.
Second Special
  • If you have full meter, you can hold crouch and press jump to enhance Grid's next swing. The hitstun will be shorter on the swing, as if the ball was bunted or you charged a swing.
Hat Trick
  • If you hold up and bunt while taunting, Grid's hat will disappear. Doing this again will return his hat.
Jet Techniques
Second Bubble
  • After you use Jet's special, if you hit the ball again while it is still in a bubble or has a water trail, you can use her special again to put the ball in another bubble. This can only be done once per special.
Countering her special
  • Jet's enemies can grab and throw the ball out of her bubble, but cannot swing or bunt at it without getting momentarily stunned.
Hover
  • If you hold jump, Jet will hover in midair for about 1 second. You can move left or right during this time, but taking any other action will end it. If you end a hover with a midair jump, you can begin another hover.
Ground Speed
  • Jet is faster than all other characters when running on the ground.
Mask Change
  • If you hold up and bunt while taunting, Jet will lower her mask indefinitely. Doing this again will return her mask to normal.
Latch Techniques
Cling
  • If you press the movement button towards a wall, Latch will cling to it. As long as you push towards the wall, Latch will stay on it. You can also move up and down on it, as well as swing. If you hit the ball while on the wall, you can angle it differently than you would be able to with Latch's other swings. Bunting or throwing will disconnect you from the wall.
Bunt out of mouth
  • There are two ways to end Latch's special: 1. Let the time pass and the ball will shoot out as normal. 2. Press bunt, which will bunt the ball out of Latch's mouth. Be careful when using the bunt, as quick enemies can hit it before you.
Nitro Techniques
Grappling Hook
  • When you use Nitro's special, if you hold down the swing button, Nitro will pull himself to the ball instead of pulling the ball to himself.
Bunt out of special
  • During Nitro's special, when he reaches the ball, you can press bunt and it will bunt the ball instead of hitting it.
Meet in the middle
  • During Nitro's special, holding back will make him meet the ball in the middle of the distance between them. If you spiked the ball to special, you must hold up instead.
Raptor Techniques
Wall Jump
  • If you press movement against a wall in midair, Raptor will begin sliding down it slowly. You can jump from this slide to do a walljump. This will cause Raptor to regain his midair jump, so you can stay off the ground indefinitely.
Bunt out of special
  • During Raptor's special, you can press bunt to bunt the ball instead of hitting it in a direction.
Delay Special
  • If you hold swing during Raptor's special, he holds the ball for longer and increases its speed when it's released.
Sonata Techniques
Triple Jump
  • Sonata can jump twice in midair.
Blink
  • If you press Q, Sonata will close her eyes. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a controller input that does this. (This technique is client-sided, meaning that when you press Q, only you can see Sonata blink.)
Controlling her special
  • When you use Sonata's special, you can redirect it twice. The ball will travel a short distance from Sonata's hammer, then bounce in midair, and then do it once more. Each of those bounces can aimed using the movement buttons.
Switch Techniques
Second Special
  • If you press taunt in mid-air with full meter, Switch will perform his special move from Lethal League, which is a kickflip that causes a fast, downward-angled shot. You can also press taunt while crouching on the ground to perform the move. If you press taunt while wallriding on the ceiling, Switch will perform this technique upside-down (with the skateboard above him). You can cancel the hitbox for this move (in any instance) by jumping and you won't lose any meter.
Wall Ride
  • If you jump towards a wall and hold both the jump button and the direction towards the wall, Switch will ride his skateboard on the wall and ceiling as long as you hold the direction (or until he hits the other side). You do not need to change the direction you are holding at any point.
Hat Trick
  • If you hold up and bunt while taunting, Switch's hat will turn around (with the default skins). Doing this again will return his hat to the normal position.
Toxic Techniques
Wall Spray
  • When against the wall as Toxic, you can use your special by pressing swing and Toxic will leave her graffiti sprayed on the wall. You do not need to make contact with the ball for this technique.

back when i first played this game i was always a candyman onetrick ngl, but i've always wanted to pick up doombox. i've been trying to get a hang of them but this is almost like relearning the game twice in a row for me lmao.

been practicing a trick with the second special where i bunt it down from the stage ceiling, fast fall down and then use the shockwave to launch it horizontally almost instantly. completely impractical but its still fun to try out and even funnier when i land it.

You forgot about Doombox's second special. Where if you crouch and press jump while on full energy, Doombox will release a sound wave that affects the ball in the same fasion, but will also push away the opponent.

He means you can start a float early at any height of your jump (rather than just the apex which you would normally do by holding jump) by pressing and holding Taunt in the air.
