Omschrijving
The Andromeda AAA01 is the lead ship of the Andromeda Class Dreadnoughts. Armored and armed heavily, the Andromeda Class Dreadnoughts are designed as highly durable primary combatants intended to engage enemy craft toe to toe. All internal components and fuel tanks are firewalled or separated and combat redundancies implemented. Dual bridge design allows 1st Bridge to be used in PvE/non-combat flight while the Combat Bridge, hidden internally, can be switched to during high intensity combat. The Andromeda AAA01 is fully complient with the Fleet Tactical Battlegroup doctrine and is a size class 5 warship, legal in survival gameplay.

Andromeda differs from Aldebaran by being more strictly combat oriented, lacking a pressurized landing bay and replacing it with a small external landing pad, and dual long range artillery turrets.

The Andromeda, Aldebaran, and Apollo Norm are all ships from the series Space Battleship Yamato and all credit goes to that series for design. Some changes made to make ships fit Empyrion rules. Andromeda and it's sister ships first appear in the second season of SBY. Designated as Advanced Armament Ability (AAA) ships, the class shares its name with Andromeda, the first of its kind to enter service.

Description of Andromeda Class ships found here - http://yamato.wikia.com/wiki/Andromeda-class_ship

Update 1 - Cosmetic corrections made in multiple locations, mainly minor shaping corrections and paint clean up.

Update 2 - Minor correction to starboard, rear sensor pod length.

Update 3 - Lower, forward "intake" shortened and rounded at bottom. Bottom edge of Wave Motion Cannon no longer ends in flat edge. Forward landing gear moved to underside nose fin.

Note - Pictures updated to show recent cosmetic changes and clean ups, now all images should show most current version. If you enjoy this ship and others in the Space Battleship Yamato series I'm building, please rate them!

Thumb up! Very close looking creation and good job!
Which is really not easy for these space vessels I know.

Not sure of the exact origin but I know bandai make plastic models and more, based on many of these vessels. They look absolutely incredible...

I have the front of one of these started since few months. but stopped the project right there. The 2 thrusters front intake. All the reste has to be done :D ...and I lost the picture from which I based the design.

anyway. Great work indead!
