Abyss 2 Mk I (Broken by 4.31)

Popis
First release for advaned!

Abyss 2, the best compact sub I ever created, is designed for recovery and exploration. When you will know it well you will be able to recover 4t at 300m of depth!

Specifications:
  • Crew: 1 Pilot 1 passager
  • Speed: 16m/s
  • Mass: +-700kg
  • Max Depth: deeper than 350m
  • Max Load: 6 tons
  • Fuel reserve: 10.75

Notable feature:
  • Articulated Arm
  • Stabilised Depth
  • Stabilised On all axis
  • Cabin pump will work up to 336m
  • Generator (surface)
  • Docking system on top and bottom
  • Top and bottom magnet.

How to use:

  • There is limitation of the Stabilisation and Depth system, as it is all propeller driven. In order to work propellers must remain in water. Be careful if you are bringing a heavy charge to surface! Note the the leveler named Stabilisation power, too low and sub will be unresponsive, too high and it will shake. Note that it consume more power on high level.

  • Trough you can carry a decent charge with the arm pointing foward, best way to lift heavy charge is under. When carrying charge over long distance, Adjust stabilisation power to the minimum required for the mass carried, then, adjust the pitch trottle to be as flat as possible. Use trim to slowly accelerate.

  • Do not leave mag all active when unconnected, it will drain battery realy quick!

  • Tip for recovering stuff under 300m: When on surface, start generator and fully charge your battery. Then raise engine trottle until it reach around 17 RPS. Set your stabilisation power to minimum and start diving. Lower engine engine trottle to 12%. Engine will keep running until it run out of air and you should be able to get to 200m with almost full battery. Grab your target from above. Set depth to 0 and raise stabilisation power until you reach 4-5ms. You may have to link auxiliary and Primary battery, do it only if necessery as engine require 60% battery power to start.

No, with the current state of battery and electric motor small sub arent really feasable.

Love your work. First came across your work in the rescue competition on Mr N Jersey's YouTube.

Is there an update to this sub or similar?

I'd like to see more of youre tiny subs in ADV mode, youre smallest one, I tried making it ADV and I kinda succeeded, just it hasnt got much battery and is a little changed up in general, but it works :D

I mean have the sub plus generator in the same build, just have the generator connected (via power veiw) and separate from the sub

Well the next generation of ship will all have a power cable so yes, it could be done. But considering how short the battery last I think I will still include a generator on my next sub.

(Yes, I will do another one to profit from the microchip introduced in last big patch)

Can you make generator on the surface seperate form the submarine and have it on?

it do have a generator, but it do not work underwater.

wait
why cant you build a gaint tank with a docking arm for this sub or a tank for fuel for a generator to so you can refill that untill well all the fuel is gone
