General Information
This guide assumes you already have knowledge about KF Servers, and you ONLY need the specific core purpose of this guide - ZED Models.
Change Models Anytime you want
If you want to change the Models anytime you want without the use of mutators/mods, all you have to do is:

  • Make sure KF server is shutdown
  • Navigate to KF Directory > System > KillingFloor.ini
  • Open KillingFloor.ini with a text editer ( prefer Notepad++ )
  • Search for SpecialEventType=
  • Normally, you will see ET_None
Replace it with

ET_SummerSideshow - for the summer ZEDs
ET_HillbillyHorror - for the Halloween ZEDs
ET_TwistedChristmas - for the Christmas ZEDs


That's it :) Start up your server and test the results.

There is no command for that. The files have been removed from the game and replaced with a different reskin.

Check the workshop to download custom mutators that bring those skins back :csdsmile:

Hey Vel, do you know what is the command for the 2011 Halloween Sideshow Zeds?

I tried =ET_HalloweenSideshow and it doesn't work...

Just add it in the same position you saw in Default.ini

Default.ini is never used unless you want to revert back to default settings.

The parameter for zed type should be there in Killingfloor.ini, if not, you can add it manually under the correct section.

The SpecialEventType is in Default.ini, not in KillingFloor.ini. I changed that command before starting the game and, nothing happened (still normal zeds).
How to shut down KF servers?
What could'be the problem?

You can use that or the original mutator with all other event ZEDs @Elmo :csdsmile:
