The Ares Shield Deflector Core combine the effect of a thin solid Multispectrum Forcefield with a wide Kinetic Dampener field to reduce the load on the forcefield emmiter by slowing down projectiles as they are about to hit the shield membrane, thus requiring less energy to counter the impact. This breakthrough allow for a greater shield durability while reducing the Electromagnetic signature of the ship.
