Turn your Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 into Rockman X Anniversary Collection 2 !

With this mod your game will play the original japanese opening and credits songs for all Mega Man X and Rockman X games (if applicable), X-Challenge undub for MMX4 bosses, will feature seven more tracks on Music Player, Collection credits with japanese music and two new trailers! ;D

What you will need

For extracting the mod files, you will need a program that opens compressed files, like WinRAR for example. You can download it here: WinRAR[www.win-rar.com].

Installing the mod

First, go to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2\ (or whatever directory your installation folder is), and rename your original RXC2 file into something else, just for backup purposes. You can rename it to RXC2_english. Then, download the mod file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KghXpLbmHhCiLkErlzWvEJflFGyXOw1R/view?usp=sharing, and put the file still packed in the same folder. Extract the file RMXAC2_mod_5SET2018_v2.0.rar, overwrite what's asked for, and you are ready to go!

Optional mod for Mega Man X6: Opening Stage (Overseas version)

The Opening Stage music of Mega Man X6 on this collection is the japanese version. If you want the western version (the one with the guitar riff), just do as follows:

Go to steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2\nativeDX10\X6\sound\bgm\wav\ and rename the file st_op.sngw to something else, like st_op.sngw_original. Download the mod file here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k4P45XMIbhw1xcZ_6Doj-vPFuTsZi8I0/view?usp=sharing, and put the file on its place.

How to play the worldwide MMXLC2

You don't need to uninstall anything! Simply go to the game folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2\ (or whatever directory your installation folder is), and run the RXC2_english. Or if you prefer, rename the mod RXC2 to RXC2_japanese, and the RXC2_english backup back to RXC2.

This mod does not conflict with the worldwide game files.

Is there a way to install things selectively? Like I just want the MMX 6 stuff restored since that's how I remember it from when I was a kit

This seems to be a common problem with MMXLC2 on Steam Deck. Unfortunately I don't have a Steam Deck to investigate this for myself.

I love this mod, but i wonder if there's gonna be a Megaman X7 Undub... like Japanese Voices and English or Spanish subtitles, it would be great

Yes, the japanese versions of the collection on PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Steam Japan have the musics with japanese vocals by default on Rockman games (and Mega Man X6 opening/credits).

Is it supposed to play the Japanese X7 ending (with vocals and Japanese credits) in the original Japanese unmodded XAC2? I just beat the International version, and instead of a Lazy Mind instrumental (like the original PS2 release), there was the full song. Just wondering.
