Custom Resolution and Skipping Intro Logos

Quick guide on how to make the game to use a custom resolution and skip the intro logos.

Set Custom Resolution

Navigate to your Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Options.txt
%appdata%\Atari\RCT3
or
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Atari\RCT3

Then simply change the numbers after Resolution (should be the first line). It seems to support widescreen resolutions.

Example:

Resolution 1920 1080

Skip Intro Logos

In the same file as before (%appdata%\Atari\RCT3\Options.txt):

Add the following to Options.txt (at the bottom is fine)

SkipBannerSequence 1

I have a problem now, When I add the cheats to the options, when I play the game, I check the options and my cheats are gone.

You don't need to enabled "Show Hidden Files", just type or copy-paste %appdata% into Windows Explorer and it'll take you there.

It also doesn't matter if the options are in the file or not, you can add them as new lines and they'll work. That's how config files in a lot of game's work.

I figured out for the AppData folder, you need to enable "Show Hidden Files" in the explorer. The problem is that the File does not have as many options as it said for the option and cheat thing you linked to. P.S. Sorry for acting so rude.

I followed the instructions and changed the resolution in the file and I still cant get it to work.
