This capital vessel of class 140 !!! unlocks at level 25 and is supposed to be used as BASE.

The name stands for:
Mothership of
Astronomic
Unit
Length

At first this ship was intended to be used as a homebase for a faction.
Thus i've prepared some weapon placement spots (4 at the front, left right, floor and entry-walls.
There are also 20 weapons spots at the bottom, using another texture -> it is as helpfull as saying -> the x marks the spot :p

Later on, when i've figured that the ship became too hughe to be moved often, I intended it to be used as a POI.
And that thought made me to complete the ship.


WARNING:
* This ship is HUGHE.
* This ship is supposed to be used in Single Player mode ONLY!
* While standing still, thursters off, i have a stable range of 31-42 fps.
* With thrusters on, it drops to 17-25.
* Flying.... in space.. 12-17 fps, on planet... 6-12 fps.
--> This is with a GTX970, 4GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM and an i7 6700K @ 4ghz.
--> If your computer spec is lower than this, I do not recomend to even try it, i'm really sorry.

NOTE:
Not sure if it is just my computer, but when i have parked like 4-6 CV's in the MAUL, i've experienced CTD's (crash to desktop). It was easy solvable by just flying two away into non-rendering distance, as the crash was just happening eventualy - and usualy only when entering the (any)pilot seat of the MAUL.
--> I hope these issues will be 'fixed' (read: performance optimized) once EGS reaches some late beta stage.

This was was inted to be used as a faction home base, however, as it ended up with a much bigger size class than expected (i did expect something between 90 and 100, which would have been 'easy(er)' to handle, given my Sephrajin Carrier is class 85).

The ship weighs 854 mega tons and has a standby power consumption (thrusters + all gravity gens off) of 16.4 MW.
Its 15360 mega newton backwards and downwards thrust, gives it an up- & forward accelleration of 18/19 m/s2.

4 stacks of fusion cells (3996) represents 15% of the fuel tank, and will provide a standby time of 65 hrs.
2998 O2 bottles represent 30% of oxygen, and will allow you to enable o2 within the ship.
However, once enabled, you'll be left with 2%.

Recomended: 8 stacks of fusion cells and at the very least 3500 o2 bottles (70 stacks of 50 bottles).

* 4 Multi-turrets on the inside (sectors 1+3, left and right) allow you to dissamble no longer required vehicles
* Hospital with seperate quarantaine
* Customs, with brigs
* Visitor parking slots
* 2 Airports restaurants on each side of the entry, great view to see starting and landing CV + SV's
* 2 Cinemas, 1 action movie, 1 education science movie
* Side elevevators can be used to reach the roof of the MAUL
* Connection hallway on top of the MAUL connects all 4 sectors, and gives access to main bridge and front bridge.

The Maul is a rly Nice concept for a moveable orbital base, i can keep 1 CV or mutiple SV its rly nice

The installed gravity generators cover gravity up to the white line seperating the cargo + constructor area from the hangar area.
The catwalk is covered with gravity, but not the 'center walk' (you have gravity on a planet, and you're faster with jetpack in space.. i see no dis-advantage...)

The whole 'central hangar' area is supposed to be covered by a gravity gen from a parked CV..

If you placed like 14 GG's (assuming 7 per side) in the wall to the maintenance... you'll have 2G on most parts of the ship.

--> Have you made sure that the "Gravity" signal in the control panel was on? <--
(Seems I might have had that disabled when I realeased it, back in A8...)

For the growing areas...
Just visit one of the sectors living area... base floor...

Needs a lot more gravity generators and they need to be placed better. I placed 14 of them at points along the inner wall seperating the landing bay from the fuel tanks etc. Put them along the inside of that wall where the fuel tanks are to cover the whole landing bay. Otherwise there is a very large area in the middle of the bay that isn't covered. CV does not power up with Gravity Generators active for some reason, you have to manually activate them.

Not been up along the top catwalk since placing them, not sure if that area is covered or not yet. However, the first time, I had to use the jetpack most of the way along it to get to the upper pilot seat. May need a few more up there to allow players to run along that catwalk.

Other than that, needs a few more directions so you can find your way around. Still have not found the growing area yet. Warning to other players downloading this. Two complete stacks of Fusion Cells will only power this CV to 30% or so.

Das es klasse 140 sieht man schon im tooltip bevor man auf die Seite kommt.

Es gibt Schiffe um klasse 50-70 die mehr mats brauchen, aber ok...
Wieso 80+ AC's?! Es sind nur 32 konstruktoren, hauptsache schlecht quatschen, was? :p

lol its all good man. i mean i could walk around and such, but if i were to try to fly a CV into it, it just wouldnt go any higher than like 8 FPS or something completely unplayable. but i was able to walk around inside it.. little laggy, but was able to enjoy it. I am "fairly" new to the creation aspect of the game, and am always looking to get better at it. things like this really show me what is possible, and that is what i appreciate the most. now if i could only figure out signals and switches and such. sigh.

Sieht zwar nett aus aber leider ist es wie 95% der Blueprints ein Schiff welches schlicht sinnlos ist.
Viel zu teuer
Viel zu viel Kram verbaut
übertriebene Schiffsklasse

Selbst für eine Fraktion sind 80+ Konstruktoren einfach sinnfrei.
