MV Sandskipper - Landing Craft Ferry

Descripción
The MV Sandskipper is a low demand, no slip needed, Ro-Ro ferry designed specifically to meet the needs of rural island hopping. Although perfectly suited to operating to and from slipways, the primary feature of the Sandskipper is to be able to make beach landings on islands that are unconnected to the transport grid. Her design is simple but innovative; her propulsion comes from an azimuth thruster placed just under the bow whilst her stern is shallowly sloped over a long surface area. This allows the vessel the reverse into a beach at speed and to ground so that the ramp at the stern of the vessel is completely in line with the horizontal axis of the beach, meaning loading and unloading of goods is streamlined and effective. Once all cargo and passenger operations on the shore have been conducted, departing is simple as the thruster at the bow is very likely still in deep water or the surf, allowing for a smooth sail away from the coast. Whilst the front of the vessel may not be much to gaze upon, it could be said that the rear and underside of the vessel is amazing to behold.

The vessel features a number of features such as a fully functioning, 360 degrees bridge, a passenger cabin with short term accomodation for 6 passengers, a long car deck equiped with a cargo winch, barriers and a fully stowable ramp, and rescue equipment such as a casualty davit. NOTE - TAKE CORNERS CARFEULLY! - the vessel may capsize otherwise, however if it tips over to port it should self-right.

This ship took me a few hours to build and much longer to plan, so I really hope you like it!
