Overview:

Original release year: 1995.
The arcade version of the game includes 8 playable characters, 8 unplayable sub-bosses, and 1 unplayable final boss, for a total of 17 fighters. The console version of the game makes all sub-bosses and final boss unlockable while adding an alternate form for Kazuya (as an unlockable final boss).

should consider Jin to be two different characters since after Tekken Tag they completely changed his move set. before he was very close to Heihachi.
