- Lian DPS: 888
- Tyra DPS: 1333 or 1533 with Hunter's Mark
- Viktor DPS: 1350 or 1755 with Firefight
- Drogoz DPS: 1000 or 1250 with Fusiliade + AOE damage
- Vivian DPS: 1214 or 1457 with OC + HUGE magazine size + extra 400 DPS with the ult on, resulting in a 1857 DPS
If you play Lian and you try to act as if you were a Tyra or a Viktor, you are making your team lose.
I am not even taking special abilities into account - Tyra's Nade Launcher does 700 AOE damage and her Fire Bomb can eat an enemy champ alive in a matter of seconds. Willo can destroy shields and insta-caut a whole area; Drogoz can do the Fire Spit for and insta kill with Salvo. BK has got CC and AOE damage. I mean, every damager has got a way to deal massive amounts of damage to an area, except for Lian. She is special, which is why she requires a special strategy.
That "Grace is the perfect way to initiate a fight" alone shows me how unexperienced you are as Lian.
Every champion is different and requires a different playstile. Personally, I see Lian as a Strix with less range but more mobility. Which is why I move a lot and focus on kills rather than on spreading caut. This is the only way I can get both top damage and top kills in a match, and carry my team even on diamond comp games.
But yeah, most of the times I see Lians playing as if they were Tyras - just standing behind, spreading caut and destroying shields. Those Lians rarely get top anything because in my opinion, Lian is pretty weak. Her *only* strength is her hitscan 100% accuracy weapon.
That's why also I like her so much - nobody expects a Lian to carry, to flank, to wipe three people on her own in the beginning of a round.
If you don't think stronger Cauterize III is the go to Lian card - then you've not got the best Paladins experience in general. It allows for you to straight away purchase Wrecker to counter shield frontlines or give you more survivability. Precision, if anything could be argued as the lower skill card in terms of the reload reset, it is undeniably a lot stronger for stomping, however is in my eyes not the safest competitive option.
Also, why should you ever 'sneak from behind'? Like what maps are we talking about where you should do this on Lian?
Both those cards are filler in general, however Inheritance can be useful for spamming more abilities and achieving more Caut spread.
If you really want to give a useful tip on how to use Grace, you can tell people to bound Grace to Shift, rather than to F. This way, you can use Grace to dash to the right too. If it's bound to F, you will have a hard time pressing D and F at the same time.
By the way, do you really thing that Precision only gives only 6% DPS boost? Think again. According to my calculations (and score), Precision gives you about 40% DPS boost, which is why it is superior to any other card, including the popular (yet often useless) D&T. That, of course, if you know how to use it, which I don't think you do.
To be good at Lian, the only things you gotta learn is how to position yourself and how to land headshots consistently. This guide mentions neither of those.
I also disagree with some of your item/legendary choices. Moral boost for Lian? If you have good aim and know how to use your ult, you will not need morale boost. If your aim is bad, you will suck as Lian no matter which cards you pick. I also wonder why would you recommend Chronos and Master Riding?
Low-mid tier Lians are thrilled about death and taxes. I'd say, while it does not completely suck, you gotta use it only in about 10% of the matches. Alacricity and Eminence? Do not ever pick those.
Oh and what's about your obsession with 'Inheritance' and 'Heir to the Throne'?
TL;DR If you want to do the ULTIMATE guide, you gotta learn the champion first. Just a friendly advice. Cheers
