Convieniently, tigers do not fire at gasopods. Apparently don't class them as a threat. So you can combine tigers and gasopods in a layered defense.
Don't put tigers closer than 3.5 "platform widths" of and air tight habitat. They won't shoot at the base, but their "overshoots" while shooting at creatures will punch holes in the base. Alternatively, you can build an unused tube on the base side of the tiger platform as a projectile backstop.
Tigers will NOT fire at leviathans. Damnit.
I like this idea of booby-trapping the spawn point with tigers. If indeed the tigers will shoot at the warper. I will have to test further.
I HAVE left a growbed "calling card" full of tigers on top of DeGasi Deep before, but that was more because I hate crabsquids than as Warper interdiction.
