How to..
So - to avoid all problems with not starting and lags we need 2 things:DXWnd[sourceforge.net] and Config[sourceforge.net]
First copy disciples2.ini into game folder.
Then start DXWnd and drag and drop "Disciples II - DPGR.dxw" in to it.
After that rmb on the added game -> modify -> path ... -> select disciples2.exe -> ok
That it - now the game runs without lags and you even can resize the window!!!
Hope this helps ^_^

There curently very nice patch for disciples where you can change resolution, speed and some other nice things.

But if you still want the old school version, you can try the method above :)

GLwrapper. Or game "as is" and change setti gs in Config Tool.
Make sure you set proper resolutions, supported by u display. Remember that max refreshrate or any other features usually available only on display native resolution: if you set special resolution (ingame or in any Tools like in this guide)/proportions/colordepth/refresh rate - it must be supported exactly in that combination. If you have 144hz FullHD display - it probably support 60-75 on 1360x768

Nah, it's okay, I can keep playing in the small window, it wasn't much of a bother :) I was more hoping to fix the alt+tabbing crash.

Do you need help to get it work? Or you just want all to know about that?
