Onatrio is home to two very special retailers, the government ran LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) and the Beer Store. The LCBO is a government ran chain that has a large monopoly on alcohol sales within the province. Meanwhile, the Beer Store is owned by big breweries and was one of the only retailers allowed to sell beer.
Recently, however the government has allowed a small number of grocery stores to sell beer and wine and even more recently convenience stores.
