Completely right! And even these comments might have been faked, but it doesn't hurt to check regardless.

That technique sounds flawed if you, you knw, have a brain and use it

Basically a person adds you claiming they mistakenly reported you for having duped items (talking about TF2 items I assume), apparently on request of a "friend" who blames you for it for reasons unknown.
This person then tries to talk you into adding them to "tell them the report was a mistake" since apparently, they won't listen to the guy that added you. Else your account gets banned in 3 hours. Obviously faulty reasoning because of Steam's policy not banning based on reports alone.
There is a conga line of comments talking about this as the "reason for add" so I will try to do something about it once I am back from uni, hopefully not too late.

You can politely go fuck yourself. Oh, and thanks for letting me know of this new scamming technique to spread awareness about it.
Remember kids, "we do not issue bans solely on reports". :)
