★ Devil Hunter (Gun Monk) - Build Guide for Any Races.

★ Role: Striker

★ Class: Monk (Helwalker) + Paladin (Bleakwalker)

✎ Team comp: not strictly required but Chanter/Priest would further increase the damage potential. As for power progression, it starts well from the beginning to end.

✎ Abilities Preview
♦ As a Monk/Paladin:
  • Capable of dealing high constant DPS: with stacked Lash/Additional damage from the two classes and gear choices. With enough durability to defend self when being put in a bad spot, one of the gun gives the character a good AoE clear when needed and the mobility tool required to quickly get in position or disengage. Perform well from start to end, independent from gear and party members.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

✦ Abilities:
  • Enduring Dance: +3 Accuracy per 3s, up to 12 max and +1 Wounds per 3s. Useful ability to boost accuracy and wounds without taking damage from the backline. As a Helwalker, you also get +1 Might per Wounds up to 10 max.

  • Lightning Strikes: 15% Action Speed and Quick Inspiration which also +5 Dexterity, +15% Damage as Shock on your weapon attacks.

  • Thunderous Blows: grants Tenacious (Might Inspiration), +5 Might, +2 Penetration. Not only you have a boost in damage and pen, you will most of the times "immune" to low tier Might weakening statuses and resistant to Stuns.

  • Sworn Rival: Marked target receives 20% more damage, when upgraded the cost also refunded on marked target death, allow you to put on how many targets you want.

  • Virtuous Triumph (passive): restore 1 Zeal on personal kills. This and Sworn Rival allow you to spam your Paladin skills, as long as you have the means to put down enemies.

  • Inspiring Triumph (passive): grants +12 All Defenses buff to nearby allies only whenever character kills an enemy. A handy defensive passive to have, allow allies to benefit from your killings.

  • Eternal Devotion: Full attack with +10 Bonus Accuracy and +20% Damage as Burn, +10% more Damage as Burn for a duration after uses. Being a Bleakwalker also provide you +12% Damage as Corrode and apply Sickened, soften their max HP for you to maul your target down quickly

  • Imbued Ammunation: granted from Eccea Blaster, dealing additional Crush/Corrode damage, +35% Reload speed.

  • Turning Wheel: +2% Damage as Burn per Wounds, max 20%. +1 Intellect per Wounds, max 10 Intellect.

  • Storm Rune Shot: granted from Thunder Pistol, dealing powerful continuous AoE damage, it hurts allies as well so place it with care.

  • Leap: granted from Boots, mobility skill that apply AoE Dazed on Impact, useful for both engage or disengage, you can just hop on enemies and shut down their offense or use it to jump far away in an instant.

  • The Pain Persists: summon a pair of fists, capable of blasting force to enemies dealing damage from a far. Useful skill as backup to deal with enemies immune to Piercing, as it scales with Monk passive it damage is actually quite high with high scaling penetration as well. Maybe if you haven't any useful guns yet, just whip these out and knock out enemies from the backline.

Not sure if you are still looking at this but is there any way to use something other then the bleak Paladin?

You make some neat guides, Lost Sinner. Thank you. I'm curious, though; each of your guides references a Chanter/Priest as recommended team addition, but I'm unable to find a Chanter/Priest guide by you (or anyone) in the PoE2 guides on Steam. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Is this build still PotD viable in 4.0?

Yikes! This build looks sick af! Now I can live out my Equilibrium/John Woo fantasies!

• Virtuous Triumph doesn't affect it damage output, so it's still a strong build.
• In terms of dealing damage, if you want a stronger combination then Bleakwalkers + Rogue (either Default or Streetfighter) will do. Use Blunderbuss (modal on) if playing Streetfighter.

First of all, thank you for this amazing build!
Secondly, how do you feel about this build with the nerfs to Virtuous Triumph in patch 1.2? Is it still one of the strongest dual-wield ranged build out there, or would you recommend some other class/build combination now after the nerfs?
