Giant size

Greatly increase the size of the map.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In the mod options, choose the size you want.
   
2. Just have this mod enabled when creating the world. The size selected on world screen will be ignored.

The base game allows you to choose between four map sizes:

• small (350x350)
  
• medium (400x400)
  
• large (425x425)
  
• huge (450x450)

This mod removes hardcoded limits in the game files and introduces a new map size Giant, which enables to go beyond these limits.

The size is configurable, by default it is 640 x 640. This is about 2x larger area than Huge.

• You should probably use it in combination with other mods that add new biomes to the game, otherwise the map will feel pretty empty.
  
• Larger maps have no drawback in terms of performance, but loading times can become longer.
  
• Larger maps require a lot more memory, and you can eventually run into Out of Memory crashes. More details on this here.

Keep in mind that the developers did not include these sizes in the base game so they probably had reasons to do so. I noticed some bugs start happening above 900x900 (4x larger than Huge), that's why I disabled this size. Higher sizes can be selected in Giant Size: Experimental
