Description

A good bow kai can carry almost any Kraken raid since he can provide immense support and keep the boat durability as high as possible, allowing at least 4 minutes of dps during phase 3, which allows almost any head dps team makeup to complete Kraken.

The best bow to use that is very affordable is Twinkling/Chance Stoneshell Bow with Master on tunic (80 crit on char stat is cap). Critical hit provides extra knockdown bonus to deal with grabs, tents and AoEs. Kai's job is to mostly support, not to deal damage (those 16k requirement for Kai is nonsense).

My stats are:
13k ATK
73 CRIT

Phase 1:
A lot of kais have issue generating SP and some duel before the start to get SP. All you need to do is fire 3 perfect longbow shots + 1 quick one or longbow glitch. AoEs are generally on a ~1 minute cooldown. Also get eyeballs breakoff for 3k a pop!

Phase 2:
Kraken does an AoE from the start of Phase 2. For the grabs, it takes 4 spears to free someone and 1-2 spears after the subsequent grabs. A kai with high critical can free a grab with 1 full powered magnum. If one fails to free the grab, the grab generally cannot be freed anymore so it is essential that you free every grab. EEA also works on freeing the grab but pre-charging a magnum is a lot better.

Freeing a grab also removes the front tent from that side which is a huge advantage. If someone gets grabbed again, the front tent may reappear so keep watch.

Phase 3:
Kraken also does an AoE starting of Phase 3. Generally, you do not need to cancel the AoE as the head team should be able to flinch it. Your most important job here is to remove the back tent. A good EEA with lucky criticals can remove it instantly only allowing 0-2% boat damage instead of 7%+. If your EEA fails to remove it, throw spears!

If someone gets grabbed, a quick magnum or 1-2 spears should be able to free them! Always save EEA for the back tent!
