I will definitely give it a look. I'm a big fan of The Twilight Zone and a few of Lovecraft's works so I'm sure it will hook me in, haha.

I'm very familiar with Anne Rice, but it's not at all remotely the same genre in my mind. Nightvale is intentionally weird and out there. It has a very particular humor that I've yet to see replicated elsewhere.
