Leatherback

ATTENTION, READ THIS CAREFULLY: This is a reupload. I did not make this, Ultimo did. I can not, and will not make what you tell me to, as I have virtually no experience in porting other than basic props like the Gotengo.

After a long gap, here's the next of Ultimo's Pacific Rim models for GMod, and it's none other than Leatherback, the second of the two Category 4 Kaiju to appear in the double event!

A rather brutish creature from the Anteverse, Leatherback's configuration is based more around brute force than any form of strategy. He does however possess a powerful EMP organ on his back, which he used to stop the Jaeger Stryker Eureka dead in its tracks.

Deployed from the rift alongside Otachi, Leatherback met opposition from two of the Shatterdome Jaegers, Cherno Alpha and Crimson Typhoon. Despite initially being beaten down by the two Mechs, the two monsters teamed up and brutally defeated their opponents, killing the helpless pilots inside.

Leatherback finally met his match when Gipsy Danger was sent into battle, and while Leatherback fought back as hard as he could, he was ultimately no match for Gipsy. With Leatherback out of commission, Otachi was yet to be defeated, and so Gipsy ventured into Hong Kong to fight the aerial Kaiju, leaving Leatherback's dead body behind.

This model comes in two sizes, and has skins to control the glowing patterns on Leatherback's body. Enjoy!

Time to kick some ass.

Presenting another personal project I've been working on, the juggernaut Kaiju Leatherback!

The mesh weighting on the bones may seem odd but that's cuz the mesh itself was..particular.

The model comes in 3 skins, which were experiments with the glowmask. The first skin gives him the glowing portions of his body while the second skin gives his mouth that glowing portion.

The third skin doesn't have glowy bits.

I suppose you could consider it beta until I figure out how to fix the glowmask, but overall he's ready for action, and yah'll are free to fiddle with it's textures.

Other then that, model comes in five sizes.

Up next Cherno Alpha.

Update: I improved the rigging and by commission of Scifiguy, made a gmod compatible version.
