DDA Security and More

Açıklama
I love the walls from this mod, so I updated it to V1.0 version. I left out the turrets (couldn't figure out how to update them, and I feel that More Vanilla Turrets handles this a lot more nicely anyway).

7/28/2019 I changed the recipe (to require some chemfuel) and changed balance around a little so reinforced walls are slightly less expensive that four regular walls back to back, but at the cost of greater work.

For V1.0, I made some changes to be aware of. I removed the coolers and heaters, I modified some minor settings for the walls, and I remove the custom workshop table completed. You can now make reinforced plates from the smelter, no need for an extra workshop table! I also added embrasures that are stronger than normal and have a custom texture.

Hey, Onesan, lets mine through this idiots puny wall and lay waste to everyone and everything within!

Not anymore! Bringing you Reinforced Walls, and Blast Doors!

Make those raiders wish they'd never attacked you, by wearing them out before they ever breach your walls!

for anyone looking for a 1.3 version, I have fixed and uploaded the mod here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2626790959

I approve of most of the changes made from the original mod, such as the removal of the turrets, coolers and heaters. There are numerous mods which add turrets. And many add interesting new heaters and coolers, modifications to vanilla heaters and coolers, or rather complex heating and cooling systems. (I was just considering Centralized Climate Control (Continued) , among several others.)

Myself, I think it's a bit regretful that mods like this are not split up into several separate mods. That way we could easily pick and choose which parts to use and players like myself would be more inclined to use them. Big mods that combine various things that are not closely related to each other have a higher risk of conflicts with other mods. And for those who like to use lots of mods, it's also likely they'd add clutter - stuff we'd never use as other mods overlap, offering some of the same or similar stuff.

@Norfuer same here; it's basically the *only* "advanced walls" that feels actually balanced, with the additional micro-management, resources, and pawn worktime involved in making some reinforced walls' plates!

This is such a great piece of work.... loved using it. Hopefully it gets a 1.3 update!

Any chance you could detect VWE - Coilguns, and patch your walls to stop Coilguns rounds from penetrating them?

@james76543 I update the github-repo for my old version if you want to use that for the 1.2 version

However it would be nice to have it updated to 1.2
SunRod 12 Eki 2020 @ 20:42
it works with 1.2

Does this mod still work with 1.2?

Hey there, @james76543.

I've written a couple patches for this mod, to add support for some other things, if you would be interested in bundling them officially.

This patch checks for Combat Extended, and removes the DDA barbed wire and associated research, as well as replaces the CE barbed wire textures with the(arguably superior) DDA ones if detected. https://pastebin.com/1bpk89UW

This patch checks for Fences and Floors/Fences and No Floors, and simply removes DDA's fences and associated research in favor of theirs if detected. Honestly this second is kinda more of a 'personal preference' thing, but still, throwing it out there in case it helps. https://pastebin.com/gNXe969U

Hope these help!
