Making a profit
Heya all

In this mini guide i am going to give an example of how to make money on jobs that don't reward enough for the benchmark score required.

I have a lot of hrs in game now an as of yet have not quit or rejected a single job, and i am now with over $40.000 in my bank and still only player level 17.

So here's how i build the high bench score systems making money, as a lot of people are complaining about taking loses i would just like to say you are forgetting about value of componets that you remove when doing system upgrades.

Each day you get 3 jobs if you complete all of them on previous day, so lets look at an example of a day.

(ALL NUMBERS ARE FOR EXAMPLE ONLY AND NOT EXACT)

PC1... diagnose and repair .... $500
PC2... upgrade to 3dmark score of 5000 .... $200 <<< (the tight a*se c**t)
PC3... upgrade to 3dmark score 0f 3000 .... $700

3 typical jobs, the total for all 3 jobs is .... $1400 <<< (this is your magic number)

PC1... needs a cpu lets say an .... i3-6100
PC2... benchs at 3400 with a i dunno .... GTX 970 and an i3-6100T
PC3... benches at 2700 with a lets say .... ryzen 3 1200 and a R9 380 2G

Now PC2's cpu is equal too or greater than whats required for PC1's Repair so swap them over as PC2 requires upgrade anyway.
So now PC1 is fixed send it back and get paid (remember you haven't spent any money yet)

PC3... only needs a small boost to hit the 3000... PC2's Graphics card however already benched above that so take graphics card from PC2 and put into PC3 as PC2 requires upgrade anyway.
Now run benchmark on PC3 it should pass so can be sent back and you get paid
(remember you have still not spent any money)

So now you have $1400 dollars to Buy a CPU and Graphics card for PC2....eg

GeForce GTX 980 Ti GAMING 6G ... $490
i7-6700k ... $370
Same Day Delivery ... $100 (<<< edit changed from 1 day)

Grand Total ... $960

Daily Profit ... $440 <<< (can be increased by using cheaper delivery)

And there you have it :) .. My top tips is to always look at your daily total for all jobs and always remember that you can get more for used parts by actually using them than you can by just selling them.
Thanks for reading i hope it helps you or someone out there, now get back to building those monster systems. :) byeeeeeee.

This is why NOT selling the parts you take out of other PC's so important, Some of these people don't CARE about used parts and you can make these jobs SUPER easy

@Maconijnr No problem glad i could help, but it did help me in remembering to use parts in other peoples machines, especially in the early game and where they haven't specified not to use used parts :) Thanks anyway, hope you enjoy your new play through!

@ Harag since your comment I have done some reading on the hub and it seems that the game has changed quite a bit since I made the guide so I think it may be outdated now sorry about that.

I'm just starting a new play through now and I will update the guide to suit the current game release once I understand how the games working now days :) Thanks for bringing it to my attention that the game has changed :)

I haven't played this game for a very long time so don't know if things have changed with any updates :) In the example and how it was when i last played.
PC 2 would not be paying any extra :) you are getting the extra money from using the components from PC 2's original build to fix the other computers, meaning they got fixed for free so that's where you made your money back :)

Interesting, but how valid is that today? if PC2 only has a budget of $200 then spending $960 for his machine won't he just refuse paying the extra $760 ? or do they always pay and give you a 1 star review?

(cont from b4) Its basically finding what works best for yourself sometimes next day delivery is the best option, whilst as i found in my own play through completing the 3rd job on the day quite often started a new build job which can be built and collected straight away. by the time i stopped playing most days i was doing 3 repairs and 4 or 5 custom builds each day. i was pre-ordering large amounts of stock on fridays ready for the week ahead and stored up many basic motherboard, hdd, power supply, in case bare bones systems. red nzxt case cheap MB for low end, orange nzxt case middle MB for mid end and green nzxt case expensive MB for high end systems set myself up as an AMD specialist lol if i got a custom build request i'd just look at specs they wanted choose from my cupboard and just add graphics card and cpu to it :) .

lol sorry hadn't noticed i put nxt day instead of same day derrr lol :) must of been a brain fudge moment lol. yes you are correct next day is $30 same day $100, In the example you would get 2 jobs payed that day if you was to use the next day delivery option and you would end up losing one potential new job for the following day.
The guide was meant to say same day delivery as profits would still be high enough to order as usually when you send back pc 1 and pc 2 you will get new jobs straight away and can have a rough idea from the job description what you may need for the nxt day . so pre-ordering i guess, :) which then means 3rd job can be finished and collected which in turn gives you the final 3rd new job. You mention the profit being increased by cheaper delivery, by that you mean the next day delivery which costs 30? Cause you mention 1 day delivery which costs 100 but that is same day delivery.

Also slowing delivery means you get 1 job a day later, which means the profit for that PC goes to the next day technically, but what Im wondering is, dont you get the new job a day later then as well which means you miss out on a job or they all just get moved a single day?

Nice guide. Was wondering about re-using the parts (sold a few and noticed the prices even for some better parts and thought It might indeed be better to use them again, your guide confirmed that for me :)
