My bad, I didn't mean any sort of offense.

I still really like the work that has been done here.

This is technically a remake, not a port. A port uses original assets (such as from Killing Floor 1) and is then converted for use in Kiling Floor 2. So a port will be like a copy/pasted map in KF2, it will look exactly the same as from KF1. (This takes way more effort, I'm not discrediting people who do this at all)

A remake just uses existing assets to remake a map, much less effort, as you're not importing 3D models or textures.
