"Paper mache costume for our son. This took close to 3 weeks to make. The helmet is made from cereal boxes, newspaper, tape and paper mache glue. The armor is made from more paper mache, the chestplate, we used a duct tape form as the mold. We took one of his old t-shirts, duct taped it, then cut it into the two pieces. The paper mache was applied on top. All pieces were spray painted then painted with acrylic and sharpie for the outlines. Air holes were drilled in place and feather glued on top with hot glue.

The shorts were patterned after a pair of swim trunks, felt hearts are ironed on. Child sized work gloves spray painted silver. He wore a sweater and sweatpants underneath to go trick or treating in. We had to remove the helmet for every house that had stairs. And he could not bend over. ;)
