How to Increase Fps

Open Uplay then settings. Under General 3rd and 4th option disable (enable in game overlay for supported games, and display fps counter( wont show if you disable overlay anyway) then open Steam settings, go to In game, Disable "Enable the steam overlay while in game) boosted my fps from 48 to stable 60, and use Fraps or similar programs to see fps

Edit: can also go to games on steam and find Far cry 5 click properties then Disable Steam overlay in game (for the steam part, still need to disable ubisoft Overlay as described

idk why but for some reason i always have worse fps on low rather than ultra.....

its not that bad tbh, for me its a stable 60 with some little stutters and drops to about 40 something fps

turn off hardware acceleration on discord it litereally says on it turn off if shitty fps

If low end PC reallly choking and need any saved fps. Disabling overlays help, but also just before play change desktop resolution to very low (if game not borderless fullscreen mode) and even [x] steam client (he still be in system tray).

this was mainly a Fix when the game released since there was some issues in the game with overlays not sure it will help or even do anything now

i have always 40 fps lol
LOWEST / ULTRA always 40 lower? NO! upper? NO!
