Whenever possible use cavalry. This game is titled MOUNT and Blade for a reason. If you want the quickest way to win any battle use cavalry. Wether it be a siege against a thousand archers or a charge on the Khergit plains, cavalry will be your best troops. Especially heavy cavalry such as the Swadian Knights or the Vaegir Knights. Sarranid Mamlukes are great if you want prisoners. Rule #1...... Always charge! Cavalry gets its success through momentum. Momentum that requires space to acquire. A Charge right at the beginning of a battle will decimate infantry and surprise cavalry.



Swadian Knights are the best cavalry in the game. Vaegir Knights are next in line, followed by the Sarranid Mamlukes and Khergit Lancers. Your gameplay style will decide wether to use cavalry archers or the tank-like Knights. Experiment...... who knows, maybe your style will fit more infantry than cavalry.
