I find the very early game a bit boring. I mean mostly you are waiting around for resources to pile up enough to do something while you bite your nails hoping some random space baddy doesn't crush you before you can get off the ground.

This just adds an event on the 2nd day that gives you +1000 energy and minerals, and +200 influence so you can start doing stuff right way. Everyone gets it, even the AI.

Hmm, very reasonable. Actually when I think about it, 2k is too much. Maybe 1k. But I too would prefer your solution, but then that gets a bit 'scripty' and I'm not good at that. I'll put it down to 1k though, that is too much.

I like the idea of something that's a bit like this mod, just massively toned down. Such as +10 Minerals for the first 12 months, then +5 Minerals per month for the next 12 months, or something like that. This mod gives far too much, and it gives it all at once.
