The Escape Pod (The Silk)

This is an escape pod based for realism, because no one really needs these, but it does work properly. You would attach this (with the landing gear) to an overhanging part of your ship with the hole facing towards the armor of your ship. You would have a door facing that hole on your ship.

When an enemy that was too powerful would come around, 4 people per escape pod would leave by opening the doors on the sides of their ship, entering into an escape pod, pressing the button, and sealing up the hole after launching so that you have oxygen generation in the pod.

This escape pod has hydrogen thrusters to propel it away from any threat really fast. It has a very armored front so that if it smashes into any (light) armor parts of a station it will smash right through it without damaging the seats/inside of the pod. Also, in case you end up going into an atmosphere of a planet, it has parachutes too. However, if you really want to make sure you have a safe landing you must press the launch button again when the gravity of a planet has you so that you don't crash at high speed into the planet even with the parachutes.

This is a survival ready ship and should be great for roleplaying.
