Intro
So you started playing but you have no idea why people keep calling you a noob, or why they suddenly have intense anger towards you. Well, fear no more, as this guide will show how to avoid this situation and have greater morale on your teams. Your noobness will no longer be the cause of arguments or name calling.

In this guide, I will assume you are indeed a noob, looking for help overcoming or coping with it. So if a veteran comes here they may feel awkward because of how I refer to the reader.

Important game concepts will be underlined. Refer to prior sections of the guide for an explanation, if necessary.

Do's and Dont's
By using even one of these Do's and Dont's, you will notice significantly less people hating you or talking about your mother. Challenge yourself! Test it, then share the results in the comments.

GENERAL:

  • DO use what your parents tried to teach you: manners. Be excellent to each other.

  • DO accept that due to your very small level of knowledge of the game, other people are much more likely to know more efficient strategies. Just because you saw a vid somewhere or a guide, it doesn't mean that information is 100% reliable, accurate, or even updated.

  • DON'T think just because you keep hearing people say "do whatever you want", it's a good attitude. Nope, it's not, and the real nice people will probably stay away from you if you act like that. Arrogance, egocentrism, lack of common sense, lack of humbleness, these will get you nowhere good in life, and neither in game.

ENDLESS MISSIONS:
(Endless missions are Excavation, Defense, Survival, Interception, Onslaught*)

  • DON'T just leave an endless mission at the first opportunity. If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. Some missions are used mostly for XP (Affinity), while others are used mostly for credits. In the case of Fissure missions (more information in the next section), if it's an endless fissure, most likely people don't want to leave at the first opportunity. That's because, if they wanted to open just one relic, they'd simply go to a non-endless fissure mission (exterminate, capture, etc). This leads to:

  • DON'T leave a survival mission right after the first 5 minutes. The exceptions would be: you agreed with your team to leave at 5; or, you are ABSOLUTELY SURE the team is doing the mission simply for 5 minutes (some kind of farm?). If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. And of course, if something happened in real life and you need to AFK a bit or need to leave early, don't be shy: tell your team.

  • DON'T leave a defense mission right after the first 5 waves. The exceptions would be: you agreed with your team to leave at 5; or, you are ABSOLUTELY SURE the team is doing the mission simply for 5 waves (some kind of farm?). If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. And of course, if something happened in real life and you need to AFK a bit or need to leave early, don't be shy: tell your team.

  • DON'T leave an excavation mission right after the first excavator is done. The exceptions would be: you agreed with your team to leave at the the end of the first excavator; or, you are ABSOLUTELY SURE the team is doing the mission simply for one excavator (some kind of farm?). If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. And of course, if something happened in real life and you need to AFK a bit or need to leave early, don't be shy: tell your team.

  • DON'T leave an interception mission right after getting 100% control for the first time (one round). The exceptions would be: you agreed with your team to leave at the the end of the first round; or, you are ABSOLUTELY SURE the team is doing the mission simply for one round (some kind of farm?). If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. And of course, if something happened in real life and you need to AFK a bit or need to leave early, don't be shy: tell your team.

FISSURE MISSIONS
(Fissure missions are the ones that require relics.)

  • DO check if you have more than one relic (items that allow getting prime gears in fissure missions), or prefereably a dozen, BEFORE joining an endless fissure mission. IF ALL YOU HAVE IS ONE RELIC, JOIN A NON-ENDLESS FISSURE MISSION. Why? Because if you spend your relic and then just leave the mission, nobody can join the game after that. It happens because the objective is done, which means you will prevent the team from getting another member for the entire duration of the mission. That will result in the other 3 people in your team having a worse gaming experience than expected, because they will have less chances to get prime parts from the relics. Objective complete, in a fissure mission, would mean: first relic opened. In the specific case of excavation fissure, the first relic is opened after the second excavator is done (see below for specific info on these missions). If you are unsure, ask the team when do they want to leave. And of course, if something happened in real life and you need to AFK a bit or need to leave early, don't be shy: tell your team.

  • DO use waypoint markers (default key: G) to help people find reactants, especially in non-endless fissure missions (capture, exerminate, etc). A situation where this would help a lot is when someone joined late, meaning, they weren't looting the first rew reactants with the rest of the team. Now, the reactants stop showing up after you have 10 yourself. In that case, place a waypoint marker at your position every time you kill a group of enemies near a fissure, so the late players can go there and see if any reactant dropped.

  • DON'T keep running around the whole map in fissure missions. Exceptions to this would be defense or intercept missions, where the map is very limited, non-endless fissure missions (capture, exerminate, etc), or if youre playing with a whole team of people who like running around the whole map together (unlikely). The reason you shouldn't run around too much is: reactants will only show for a player if they are in the same room where the reactant dropped. So if a player is in a room, and the others are in another place, some reactants will drop in a room, the others will drop in the other room. So there's a chance people will not even see reactants if they try to camp a room while theres people camping another room, or running around. Another exception would be at the start of a mission (say, a survival or excavation), you go explore a bit, find loot crates and so on, but this shouldn't happen for the whole mission. After the first few minutes, most of the map will probably be explored. Never prioritize exploring while neglecting reactants, and while exploring, never forget to keep an eye at the mission objectives through the UI.

  • DON'T power the second excavator on an excavation fissure mission, until everyone in your team has 10 reactant (yellow glowing items that are necessary to open relics). If you are unfamiliar with excavation fissures, here's the basic mechanics: after every second excavator done, a relic will be opened, but only IF you have 10 reactants collected before the second one is done. So there's no point in finishing the second excavator in a rush. Leave it without power if the team doesn't have 10 reactants yet, or every reactant you collected will be wasted, as it will reset to zero when the second excavator is done. Even if the excavator is destroyed while the team is collecting reactants, it would be better than letting it finish before everyone has 10 reactants. As of March 1 2018, an update improved the UI so it shows an indicator of how many excavators are necessary for the next relic (top left of the screen), so it's even easier not to mess up now.

* Onslaught
Onslaught missions are played in a very different way on pubs (public missions) so I have not included any Do's and Dont's for those. Pubs are usually like this: a player maxes a weapon or frame then that player leaves, making it hard for other players to keep going.

I assume if you want to play these missions with a set goal in mind (eg get to rotation C, or go until the enemies win), it would be best to make a team on recruit channel.
Trollframe isn't fun.
These are some tips for playing some of the available Warframes. By following these tips, you will be contributing to the team's success and overall fun of team mates and consequently your own. Also remember, if you don't follow some of these tips on purpose, with the intention of trolling, you can and will be reported, sooner or later. Important parts of these tips will be marked in bold.

LIMBO

This frame has some skills (Banish, Cataclysm) that allow making people invulnerable: yourself, allies, enemies. Now, when you make yourself invulnerable, don't just stand idle, not helping the team accomplish the objective, unless that has been agreed upon, or someone asked you to do specifically that.

Also, when you make others invulnerable, remember they might not want that. That's because they won't just be invulnerable, but their weapons will not be able to damage enemies unless the enemies are banished as well; also they will be forced out of hacking terminals, in case they're using one at the time you banish or cataclysm them, and they wont be able to interact with mobile defense objectives either.

As a general rule, if someone in the team asks you to stop using those skills, it would be best to just stop using it, unless you know for a FACT (meaning, you're very experienced) it will jeopardize the mission if you stop using those skills.

FROST

The Snow globe skill (#3), or as commonly referred to, just globe, is surely one of the most important skills this frame has. On the other hand, it can also be extremely annoying to yourself and others in the team if you don't use it properly. Let's see some possible situations:

1- you made a globe, ran outside of it, then made another globe closeby (or globes, you can make up to 4). Depending on the situation, it may be useful, but most of the time, it will keep the team from shooting enemies properly, and make enemies unnecessarily slow, which will almost surely make the mission longer or much longer than it should be. If you made 2 globes real close to one another by accident, kill the unnecessary globe by shooting a Freeze skill at it (#1).

2- you made a globe, ran outside of it, and made another globe a good distance away. If that globe serves a purpose, it's ok to keep it there. In an intercept mission, for example, you might want to use large globes, one on each capture point, to make enemies slower to get to the terminals and consequently, keep control for longer, while also protecting players who might be there defending. Now, if the globe is in an unwanted place (example: right next to enemies spawn points), you may have to remove it for the same reasons stated above on situation 1: that globe is unwanted. Just kill it with #1.

Again, as a general rule, if someone in the team asks you to kill a globe, just kill it. You may not think it's a problem, but your team mate is annoyed by it, so why not being nice to them? So unless you know for a FACT killing that globe will jeopardize the mission, just kill it.

Finally, remember making a globe and then, while inside of it, you try to make another, you're increasing the globe's HP, not creating another globe. This might be very useful in high level missions.

TITANIA

I'll be honest, I really don't use this frame, ever. But I've seen others using it and know a few things.

The skill named Lantern (#3) is potentially annoying to team mates. It makes an enemy become an invulnerable, slow flying ragdoll, which may be entertaining for a bit, but on serious gameplay, it will be frustrating to others and can make the mission longer. It is especially problematic if your Titania is modded for duration, and you use the #3 skill to one of the last remaining enemies in a defense mission. The mission will go on and on, without any progress, until that enemy is finally free of the effect, and can be killed. In case you've used that skill, to turn it off and allow your team to progress, just press 3 again.

Pretty sure Titania's 1 doesn't do that. It might be lantern that does that, but casting lantern again would cause the floating attractive enemy to explode buuut I'm too lazy to check right now if the lantern'd enemy is killable so.. eh.
