7.35d (Core) Lina Mid - Oh, that's hot!
Por ZVERMIX
My favorite way of playing Lina is a hybrid right-click/magic mid-game dominator build. After 7.35 magic is no longer viable.
Start with stat items. Harass your opponent using 670 attack range, push out the wave with Dragon Slave before the rune spawns. You can also last hit with Q, while also harassing the enemy(1275 hit range helps with that), just line up the skill properly. Try to control runes to the max (push the wave with Q at 50s). After Bottle, Stick and Boots, you should be getting Aether Lens (thru Arcanes) and Travels. Those items help your spellcasting and sustain a lot, but also synergize with your passive and allow you to run at 500+ MS constantly.
Get shard, Aghs and Kaya-based situational item to maximize your damage.
After that, you should be getting items based on the situation. Most times a defensive item (Eul/Wind Waker, Linken, BKB, Aeon Disk) is a must have. Bloodthorn in a hybrid build is a generic choice when situation doesn't clearly dictate anything else.
With lvl 25 talent and Refresher, you can kill almost any hero even in late game by hitting all your skills twice.

Зверь, привет. Можешь пожалуйста таланты пофиксить. Таланты 15 и 20 уровней имеют текст который дропают фпс нереально. Например левый талант 20 уровня имеет описание:
"If you don&t have Aghs and/or your team needs more physical damage"

а должно быть:
"If you don't have Aghs and/or your team needs more physical damage"

I recently reached 5400 MMR while playing a lot of Lina (13 win streak with Lina in ranked at 5K+), even though her winrate is pretty bad overall. So I'd say she's in a pretty OK place right now after the ult buff, if you know how to utilize her well.

@Pao!, yes the nerf hit Lina very hard, you can't dominate the lane anymore. I decided to stop playing a lot of Lina until something changes. As for my latest winrate: as you can see I haven;t been playing a lot recently. Lack of practice + big nerf = bad winrate.

@zvermix, what do you think about Lina in 7.06e ? Seems like the nerf on dragon slave really affect lina's nuking and farming capabilities. You also lose more than winning in your Lina Games.

Kopi Kao, thanks for your comment. All things considered (DPS, mobility and utility), the passive provides more value, especially if you happen to make Eul's before level 16. It synergizes too well with phase boots, wind lace and an early Eul's to pass it up until level 16. When you have 3-4 points in passive, the enemy T1 dies during 1 creep wave as soon he leaves the lane/dies.
Taking the creep wave only by Q+W is great, but you don't really have the mana to do that for each wave in the early game. Also, this becomes much more relevant in the late game, when you can't afford to show in the lane for long. In the early game, you usually can safely last hit with right-clicks and Q.
I consider maxing W before E when the game is going really bad and your right-clicks won't do enough anyway, or when, for some reason, you had to make Lens before Eul's - and both those situations are much more relevant for support Lina.

Hi Zvermix, i just curious why you are maxing Passive over stun ?
I always maxing stun and taking 80 damage increases on stun because i can simply farm a full wave of creeps by using stun+slave.

I see, I got your point. Glad you finally update the guide :)
P/s : Moon shard is a cool and viable 7th slot item :d2bloodseeker:

Narend, thanks for the input. I made some changes, and here are my thoughts on your points:
1. Yeah, there's really no point in getting 3 branches now. Null description mentions pulling ;)
2. I don't feel like mango is worth it for a Mid Lina. This role hasn't been about ganking, but about getting as much early xp and farm as possible for quite some time now. Orchid is already in situational items, BKB is a must have in most games.
3. I used to have Deso there, but took it out because that section deals primarily with your 6th slot, and Deso isn't quite good for that. But now that it's cheaper, it might be good to get it as a semi-carry item when you don't have a lot of gold.
4. I don't like like late Bloodstone at all, I think it's not worth the money. Mana regen is very important, but we got it covered by Eul's and situational items.
5. Again, I wouldn't trade my 5th and 6th item (usually it's BKB and Skadi/Crits) for either Shiva's or Octarine in almost evey case.

Well according to 6.84 changes I want to point out some things:
1. Early game Lina starts with Null and only 2 branches (as magic stick only requires 2), and remember to tell the players to pool tangoes from their team.
2. Put Mango in situational items. Sometimes you just really need that instant 150 mana in ganking. Also BKB and Orchid suit this category.
3. Semi carry items missing a Desolator. Desolator is surprisingly good on Lina thanks to Fiery Soul, making her a hot gatling gun.
4. Also Bloodstone is kinda core and alternative to Eye of Skadi if you want to build semi carry Lina. You have to spam spell often in order to keep your Fiery Soul bonus IAS active.
5. Scythe of Vyse, Shiva's Guard, Eye of Skadi, and Octarine Core should be on Lina's Luxury Items.

otherwise, I like your guide. Have been personally using it for about 2 years. Keep up the good work!

Thanks ;) It is kinda disappointing that his guides have taken over top spots for all heros, mainly because of the 'brand value'. His guides are good, but many guides by hero specialists, like this one, are much more detailed.
