Light survival fighter. (Class 1 SV)

Primary roles: Early/mid game base assault/drone combat, Inexpensive, Unlocks at player level 10, Only requires basic resources

The Merc-MX3 is designed as a low level SV with many deluxe features on the cheap. It comes equipped with 6 gattling guns and mounts points for 4 rocket launchers located to left and right below the cockpit. Rocket launchers however are not included as they required non basic resources.

It is second ship bering the Merc name and follows the same theme as the more expensive Merc-MX8 seen in some screen shots. This ship was built to offer a solution for taking on base defenses (POI/PVE) at player level 10. It is an inexpensive ship with most survival comforts including a back room for storage, fridges, constuctors, armor rack, and oxygen.

Performance wise it comes in as mid level offering fairly good speed and maneuverability.

As this ship is not a tank I would recommend being careful when taking on base defenses and bring spare parts just incase.

1. Most all survival comforts closed off in back room
2. Fairly good speed and maneuverability
3. 6 Gattling guns and mount points for 4 rocket launchers
4. Unlocks at player level 10
5. Inexpensive, requires only basic resources

FYI to anyone interested in this ship: It requires CPU extenders to properly function, and they aren't included in the BP. It needs at least 2 basic extenders if you're playing RE, I'm not sure about vanilla.

tl;dr it's not compatible with RE without modifications.

when i turn on the power it says its at 800% usage and overloads right away, very noob at the game and could use a tip if i am doing something wrong?

Its lovely to see the MX series updated.I am planning to test them all one after the other in upcomming v1.5. Do not forget to update the cargo naming coloring.Keep up the good work. Your contribution is priceless.:steamthumbsup:

Quick thanks @jrandall for your hard work. This was my second official SV build, but it really changed my perspective of playing Empyrion. Been rolling around in space finally, even somewhat defending myself with this.

Do you mind recommending me one you think would do nicely for a level 21 player looking to be able to mine Zarcosium off a planet without being shot to crap by turrets? Like, I guess a mid-game "turret taker-outer" that doesn't use a whole lot of Zarcosium. I really need Zarcosium LOL

Thanks imwithdummy lol. I get it and no problem. This MX3 is so old now that I would actually build a new ship entirely to replace it. I learned a lot since making this one and the game has changed as well. The MX2 was updated a while back, but was not really meant to add/change CPU blocks to add more functionality. New designs in the starter/mid range are getting that now thou. Thanks again!
