Usage
Using Nihopalaoa

The best method of use is giving it to whoever has access to all Three remedy lores.

Tossing a rememdy at most enemies will debuff them according to their immunities and Remedy Lores.

With all three remedy lores a player should be able to cure or inflict almost all status ailments.

Example!

King Bomb
Immune
  • Petrify
  • Stop
  • Doom
  • Confuse
  • Sleep
  • Blind
  • poison
  • Lure
  • Berserk

Tossing a remedy at Kingbomb can cause him to become
  • Diseased
  • Slow
  • Immobilize
  • Silenced
  • Sapped
  • OIl

Obviously some of these status ailments do not matter, such Immobilize - as he will break free within a few seconds. The major ailments you would want would be Disease, Silenced, Sapped and so forth.

Ending
This trick can be useful on almost all enemies in the game including rare hunts and those hard to take down bosses in trial mode.

You can purchase Remedies at a plethora of spots but the easiest is the Phon Coast near the Teleport Save Crystal.

To see the easiest method of getting the Nihopalaoa Necklace please refer to my Acquirement section.

It's the only way for Zodiark to use his ultimate, the caster must be petrified
So use a gold needle on yourself and... kaboom

By reading it's description I assumed it applied to item-effects received, not on use.
Since it's something you wear why the frick would it apply to the enemy?

i mean, new players reading the description of the item and think"why does this exist if its negative for my char?" but literally if you purchase every remedy upgrade on the board for 1 char, you can inflict every enemy or boss with every existing debuff(aside doom and one shot debuffs) the enemy or boss isnt resist. while bomb king can be inflicted with everything and then simply be destroyed by magic(cause magic dont wake up sleep state) close all espers are immune to alot debuffs. so usually, you equip it, throw a remedy on your enemy, unequip it, done

I remember when this was the only way that I knew how to beat King Bomb..

I remember it being in the ps2 NA version. I believe it was an accessory in the clan shop at the bazaar.

Thanks for this. I never knew about using remedies specifically, but spent only limited time using the Nihopalaoa and only for specific uses. I can't even remember if it was in the original PS2 version for North America (might have been International only).
