Blood God: OP Build (solo no LW)
By Belial
This is a build a havent yet seen anyone come up with, which may very well be the most powerful in the game. After you reach its key points you can solo the game w/o LW (no hit&run). And of course it gets completely absurd with LW.

Summary
This is a "necromancer" build, that takes advantage of ridiculous synergy between talent "Glass cannon"(or Lone Wolf) and Fane skill time warp. Another synergy here is polymorph skills "Apotheosis" and "skin graft" and Necromancy top end skills "Blood Strom" and "Grasp of the Starved. That is a crit build using INT and WITS as well as Warfare and Scoundrel to maximize rewards.
Explanation
1) Glass Cannon(or LW) talent allows you to start every round with 6 AP, however it has a drawback - your armor does not protect you from status effects enemy will use. To mitigate this we have high wits to always go first and ensure enemy never gets chance to act at all.

2) Fane Time Warp skill lets you take another turn right after the end of current turn. This has incredible synergy with Glass cannon that gives you 10 total AP to work with(-2 AP from using Time Warp). Also adrenaline skill will give you an extra 2 AP and executioner skill can proc every turn up to 4 extra AP total, that brings your total AP you spend before enemy can even act to 16 (18) which equals AP of party of 4! We will take this even further by using talent "elemental affinity" that will decrease cost of our necromancy spells. Feel free to upgrade this by ambidexterity talent, abusing the hell out of scrolls.

3) Apotheosis is top level (5 points) skill in polymorph school that will make all source skills cost zero source points, meaning unlimited casts for 2 turns as long as you have AP. Thankfully we have a lot of AP and 2 turns is all we have and need with this build

4) Skin Graft is a source skill that resets cooldown of all skills, which will allow us to re-use any skills, including source skills (thanks to Apotheosis activation) during our bonus turn we get from Time Warp.

5) Blood Storm and Grasp of the Starved are top level Necromancy source skills, that deal absolutely insane amounts of damage, even more so on critical hits. They cost a lot of souce though, but not with Apotheosis. Even better skin graft will allow us to cast each of them twice. Since Blood Storm tend to persist for few rounds, you can even take advantage of "living on the edge" skill in an (extremely) unlikely turn of events that somebody survives your first (two) turn(s). Fun fact : Even though Grasp of the Starved require your enemies to be standing in blood, Blood Storm actually create puddles of blood under the feet of your enemies.

6) Necromancy skills are not only extremely powerful, they also deal physical damage that cannot be resisted like elemental damage. It means this will work on every enemy in the game.

7) To maximize rewards off this setup you will need to upgrade you physical damage and get crit chance as high as possilbe. Needless to say, that since your enemies never get to act you only need to care about equipment that gives you appropriate talent, atribute and ability bonuses.
Build details
Main stat: INT
Secondary stat: WIT

Race: Fane (no other will work)

Abilities: 10 warfare / 5 polymorph / 3 necromancer / 3 hydrosophist / X scoundrel
You only need 3 necro and hydro, so prioritize getting these through items which is easy to access so you can put more points into scoundrel.

Talents: Glass Cannon(or LW), Elemental Affinity, Savage Sortilege, Executioner, Hothead

Items: dual wield +crit% items, rune of fire into necklace, everything that grants + %crit or abilities and/or skills above.

Key Skills: Blood Strom, Grasp of the starved, Apotheosis, Skin Graft, Time Warp

Recommended skills: Blood rain, infect, mosquito swarm, adrenaline, thick of the fight (in a party thats +40% boost), living on the edge
Cast order
Ideal situation is where you have some prep time and cast rain of blood pre-battle under your feet

1) Cast Apotheosis (4 AP)
2) Cast Adrenaline (6 AP)
3) Use Blood Storm (3 AP) or Thick of The fight then Blood Storm (1AP). Only cast Thick of the fight if you're confident someone's going to die (and if you are in the party)
4) Cast Grasp of the Starved (2 AP or 0 AP)
At this point it is very very likely you will kill some creature and will be at either 4AP or 2 AP.
5) Cast Time Warp (2 AP or 0 AP) Spend extra AP this turn however you want
6) You start next turn with 4 AP (due to adrenaline)
7) Cast Skin Graft (2 AP)
8) Cast Adrenaline (4 AP)
9) Cast Blood Storm + Grasp of the Starved if there are many targets. If there is one target left, cast infect + mosquito swarm + grasp.

I have never seen any boss or enemy group survive this onslaught not once. I've made this setup work as early as lvl 11 with some crafting and been soloing (w/o LW!) everything ever since and it just gets better and better. It is extremely OP though, so may ruin the fun for you.

The build can work, but only after you have access to 2 or more source points. Before that you still have to stay with some casual build like two handed to get to the point, which partly render the build ... just a theory. Apotheosis should be a prebuff to save 4 AP. Those AP will be saved for grouping up people using Nether Swap and/or Teleportation with some jumping ability which will cost you at least 4AP for grouping at least 3 foes. I also doubt at level 11 you have some decent gear to make the build works effectively.
Generally, with Fane Time Wrap (basically a cheat ability), any decent damage dealer build can work if mixed with Skin Graft & Adrenaline not just Grasp & Blood Storm combo. I'd rather use double Pyroclastic Eruption, things should die, and if you group them up before nuking them, they surely die, boss or not, if some of them still breath, throw double Mass Explosive Trap. Wew, imo Fane timewrap shouldn't even be used, much less there to theorycrafting on builds.

I remember grasp I found sneaking around some guy manor, its that guy that has torture chamber in his basement. I dont remember the rest. Im sorry it was such a long time ago. Even at lvl 16 its still exremely powerful, altho there are many cheesy builds in this game besides that one

grasp of the starved can be crafted with a disembodied hand and a source orb, so i can believe that...except I had no idea on my playthrough and fed all the hands to sebillle, seeing as the game does not give you the recipe , the only way to know is if you read guides online. . .

because how would you be in act 4 already at level 11, when act 2 goes up to level 16?
Icedfate 6 Jan, 2020 @ 10:32am
well, I discovered that the scroll can be crafted but it needs a puppet bead which can only be gotten in act 4, so, I dunno, I guess this build is for classic version and not definitive?

Belial  [author] 4 Jan, 2020 @ 10:54am

Icedfate 3 Jan, 2020 @ 4:15pm
