Hey there! I'd like to present to you the first stages of my version of Murder. Note that although it might not look like it has changed much, it plays completely differently.

The first big change: the murderer must write a note with each kill. This note is left on the ground and can be anything the culprit wishes. If they don't write a note, then the others can see that they are the murderer and so they are forced to write a note.

Second big change: each knife only lasts for one kill. However, the murderer can craft knives by picking up the glowing components around the map. (It takes two per kill.) The murderer must use much more subterfuge and cannot simply go on a rampage. If they are discovered early, it's game over.

And finally, all players use their real Steam names instead of the randomly picked ones.

These three little changes completely change the way the gamemode is played, and it allows for much more cooperation between the bystanders in the form of deducing the notes while the murderer is forced to rely on stealth rather than mad left-clicking and desperate right-clicking. In general, it makes for a classic crime-solving experience.

This gamemode was designed to be played with friends, but works just fine with randoms.

I will continue to update this gamemode based on my ideas as well as yours!

(PS: Only maps which have the glowing loot objects will work with this gamemode. Without them it is simply unplayable. You can add these to maps using Murder's console commands, but I will not discuss that here.)
