Intro
Rainbow Six Siege (R6S) is a game published and developed by Ubisoft that was launched on 2015 and is now in the top 5 games to have a high current playerbase each day.

R6S features new maps, operators and weapons each season of a year. In addition, R6S introduces 3 PVP and PVE gamemode and an upcoming new game mode on the first season of 2018.

I have been playing this game since release and I started from console which is now lvl 212 and my highest rank was during Operation Velvet Shell as a Plat 1 with 4400 MMR which is the 2nd highest rank in the game and now on PC at Level 150 with my highest rank as Plat 1 with 4120 MMR during Operation White Noise.

My goal is to help new player have a fair start in the game and more experience player to improve or learn something new from my guide.

This guide will have most aspects of the game such as it's settings, movement, operators and gamemodes.

Edit: This is my first guide so any feedback would be appreaciated. The guide is still a work in progress and I might make updates on it when I'm more free with my time.
Equipments
First of all equipments is an important part to improve because you can only be good as your equipment limits you to be. The most important equipment would be the mouse let's talk about DPI which is dots per inch. This is a measurement on how sensitive a mouse is which the higher a mouse's DPI farther your cursor will move when you move the mouse. A DPI can be change on most gaming mouse with the software that is provided or downloaded through their websites. A DPI I recommend most players should be using is a DPI of 400-900 since most players use a DPI of around their due to it allowing you to have more precise aim and make it less shaky if it detected every movement. Some mouse such as the logitech G400

After changing your DPI you would want to find a sensitivity that works for you, The average sensivity for most players would be to have low horizontal and vertical sensitivity of 10 and have and have an aim down sight of 50 to flick and reaim faster on enemies. The best way to find your sens would be Terroirst Hunt Classic and keep on repeating the game mode till your can find perfect sens or comfortable sens. To play T-hunt Classic you want to go to options go to matchmaking preference and turn off the other game modes in the T-hunt category which are hostage and bombs and I also recommend playing on the map called house since it is the smallest and the easiest to remember the layout.

The mousepad you use can effect how you play mostly based on it's texture such as cloth pads offer more resistance which helps with high sens and slick pads which offer less resistance which make flick shots more easier. Since the average sens in this game is pretty high i recommend a cloth pad. The size of the mousepad could also be helpful because it gives more space for your mouse to move rather than bumping it on the wall or not enough space to move your mouse.

Another equipment would be the monitor. Resolution and Hertz would be the two most important factor for the monitor. Resolution are basically the size on how many pixel it displays the most common resolution would be 1920x1080 which is your best option since its the most balanced while larger resolution loads more pixel which make enemies more smaller but have larger field of view but a lower resolution would make enemies bigger but have a smaller field of view. Monitors have different refresh rate the most comment rate would be 60hz but the higher hz such as 120hz or 140hz would allow you to move your cursor and see more smoothly.

The final equipment would be a headset with a mic or a seperate mic so you can hear the in-game sounds better and communicate with your teamates. A headset that i recommend to get would be a hyper X or a logitech G430 because in terms of price their not that bad for whats it worth for.
Configs
Audio settings
The most imporant from the audio setting would be the 3 dynamic range which are Hi-Fi, TV and night mode.
Hi-Fi: Most recommended because it accurately judge the sound distance and has a greater range of volume but if you have a low quality headset or speaker you are going to have a hard time hearing quiet sounds such as footsteps and breach charges which could make it harder for you to understand what the stituation is.
TV: Some pro players uses the TV because the loudest sounds lower down a bit and the quietest sound such as footsteps will turn be easier to hear but it does get a little harder to judge the distance.
Night mode: It's basically the same as TV but it's only if you don't want such a loud sounds that can wake up roomates and neighbors through your speakers.
Some pro players such as Serenity17 (Ex-player of Astral Authority) has said that Hi-Fi and TV has no difference so you might want to test the audio for yourself.

Gameplay settings
Turning on ping and Game info will allow you to see your connection and Fps of your game so running it won't help you in competitive but can tell what settings you need to change or fix.
Hud preferences: Turn on everything except for teamate outline and name
Teamate outline should be turn off because it can block vision sometimes when peeking certain spots
Also teamate name can be left on because sometimes you want to check who your teamates are since your not going to always play with the same players rather than clicking tab to check the scoreboard.

Display settings
Resolution:1920x1080
V-Sync: Turn it off because it cause input delay if it's on
Field of view: Recommended of an FOV 75-90 because having a lower FOV will block visions of your surroundings.

Graphic settings

Best Graphic setting
Texture Quality: Medium or change to low if you want to gain more FPS
Filtering: x16 if it eats your FPS use linear
LOD: High
Shading: Low Makes it easier to see enemies
Shadow: Low or Off Makes it easier to see enemies
Reflection Quality: Off Gained more FPS
Ambient Occlusion: Off because it adds shadows on certain area which make it harder to see enemy or drones
Lens Effect: Off because lights such as the sun will be brighther which can make vision harder and also blind you
Zoom-in Depth of Field: Off Makes scope easier to see
Multi-sample Anti-aliasing: Use FXAA if you can handle it but use T-AA if FXAA eats your FPS
Movement/Peeking
Movement is one of the most important feature of the game and is more essential feature than aim because with good positioning allows you to get easier kills and a harder target for enemies. When moving into the objective you want to remember that operators have an armor and a speed rating. So wide peeking as a 3 armor could be risky because it takes time for you to reposition back into cover. Here's a chart by Rouge 9 on the different damage output dealt to different operator base on their armor and speed rating.

Sprinting
Sprinting is movement feature that allows you to move around the map faster I recommend using these only when you know the area around you is clear because sprinting in enemy territory or nearby enemies can make you an easy target due to the time it takes to readjust your aim and to aim down sights.

Crouching
Crouching allows your movement to be quieter but decrease your movement speed. Crouching should be usually use to stay behind cover, to sneak behind enemy lines and use to peek in ceratin spots.

Walking
Most newer players don't know this feature but its basically a movement that allows you to make your movement really quiet and harder to hear than crouching but is now moving in a slower pace than crouching. To use the walk button press alt and it's default to toggle you don't need to hold it down. I recommend to use this if you want to conceal your footstep to nearby enemies as crouching nearby will make a noticeable sound depending on your armor rating. Another recommendation when walking it can be easier for you to make holes in the wall by being able to hit the wall with more precision as moving without walking can sometimes make you move too far.

Proning
Proning is usually use to peek in certain angles enemies don't aspect you to be at since most enemies would aim at head level or at least at crouch level but the disadvantage to proning would be the loud sound it makes while crawling and movement speed of it.

Rappelling
Rappeling is movement feature that allows you to scale building when rapelling you shouldn't peek your whole body as it makes you a very big target and should only peek as tight as possible. When jumping rappelling in into the room it's very risky because it makes a very loud and noticeable sound of rappeling in so only rappel in when the room is clear.

What is peeking?
Peeking is the action of engaging an enemy or holding an angle by coming out of over.
There are two types of peeking where one is holding a tight angle which expose a glimpse of your head or body called tight peeking and another called wide peeking which you peek while exposing your entire body.
To tight peek you would want to start leaning right or left based on the direction your going because you will expose less of your body which makes you a harder target for the enemy.
As the image shown tight peeking will expose you to only one angle you are watching which takes less time for you to move your mouse when positioning your aim to the nearby enemy and Wide peeking expose your entire body to 5 different angles which you will not be able to watch all at once which is a big risk and allows enemy to flank you easily. Only do wide peeking when you know certain spots are clear or a teamate is covering that area and your already pre-aiming at the enemy location or when you have to make a big play due to time running out.

Quick peeking
Another advance tech for peeking would be quick peeking which allows you to peek your enemy faster with only exposing your head for a short period of time but I only recommend learning this when your confident enough with your aim and used to the movement of the game. As learning quick peeking without good aim and movement will just make you an easier and more exposed target to hit.
Heres a video by Aust1n on how to do quick peeking.

Attachment and Drones/Camera
Scopes
There are 8 types of scopes in the game with 4 for only the Russian CTU and the other 4 for the rest of the CTU.
Note: Only the attackers have Acog except for two defenders which are Doc, Rook and Echo.
All CTU
Reflex sight: The reflex sight scope is one of the best for defenders as you will be mostly using this scope for close range encounters as the reticle for it can make it harder to hit enemies due to you having to aim using the top of the triangle reticle rather than in the middle which can sometimes can cover the head.

Holo Sight: The holo sight is the middle ground of all scope because the sides are not as compact as the red dot where it covers a big amount of the screen and the reticle for it is more clearer than the reflex sight.

Red dot Sight: The red dot sight has the best reticle but has the worse sides for the scopes as it's too compact and can sometimes make you cover an enemy without you noticing.

Acog Sight: The Acog is a must pick scope most of the times as it's a zoom in reticle which allows you to get headshots on enemies easier but could be a bit tricky to kill enemies in close quarters.

Russian Scopes
Reflex Sight: The Russian reflex sight in my opinion is the best scope due to it basically not covering anything in the screen and having a reticle thats doesn't cover an enemy at longer range.

Red dot Sight: The russian red dot sight only down sight would be the scope covering a lot of the bottom screen.

Holo sight: This is possibly the worst scope as the scope is so compact that it covers most of the screen and the reticle being not as precise as the other three Russian scopes.

Coyote sight: The Coyote sight for now is only possible to be use on Fuze and does zoom in like Acog but has a different reticle from it.

Grips
Vertical Grip: The vertical grip allows you to decrease recoil which makes shooting more precise and less random horizontal and upward spray.
Angled Grip: The angled grip allows you to scope faster and have a very small decrease in recoil but I only recommend using angled for low recoil guns as high recoil guns with an angled will just make you miss more shots rather than save your life when you need to scope quicker.
Laser Sight
The laser sight is a pretty stituational gadget as from the Rouge 9 video it makes hipfire pattern tighther which allows you to hipfire with a higher accuracy but does expose your position since the enemy can see where the laser sight ends. I only recommend using it on DMR, SMGS and Shotguns as they allow you to do more damage in close quarters and they don't have high recoil which allows the spread to have a bigger change from an assault rifle with high recoil.
Barrels
There are 5 types of barrel in Rainbow Six Siege.
Compensator: The compensator allows you to reduce the horizontal recoil overtime when rapid firing.
Flash Hider: The flash hider reduces the vertical and horizontal recoil for up to 5 shots which makes burst fire shots more accurate which makes this barrel in the middle of the compensator and muzzle brake.
Muzzle Brake: The muzzle brake reduces the vertical recoil faster than the other two barrels but does no reduction to the horizontal kick.
Suppresor: The suppresor hides the bullet trail and gets rid of the indicator of where your getting shot from but has a pretty high damage reduction and doesn't really decrease the recoil so I don't recommend using the suppresor.
Extended barrel: The extended barrel is basically useless as it main purpose is to lessen the damage dropoff in longer range but you will barely be in a long range firefights and the recoil reduction of it is basically non existent.
From reddit poster Cynibot, these are his recommended barrel attachments. View his reddit post to see his reasoning on each guns barrel choice.

Drones and Cameras
Drones and cameras are one of the best utility in the game as it allows you and your teamates to have intel but it is only going to be useful once you learn the map and able to communicate to your team.
Drones are going to be your best scouting equipment as they allow you to spot where the objective is and clear out rooms without the waste of a person.
While cameras are stationary it can help to watch your teamates back with a cam and when a cam is shot down it can tell you the nearby enemies near that location or if a cam is destroyed duringthe prep phase that means a twitch drone is nearby.
Tip 1: Never ever spot with the drone or cam as it tells the enemy that a cam or drone is nearby, the only exception when your allow to scan is when you want an exact location of the enemy for your teamate or you to shoot an enemy through a wall or floor.
Tip 2: After finding the objective or at least locate the objective setup your drone in different rooms that an enemy might be to allow you and your team to know an enemy is in a certain room which allow you and your team if coordinated a free kill.
Walls/Floors, Reinforcing and Barricading
Walls/Floors
Almost all the walls and floors in this game are destructible which allows you to guard and attack the objective all from different angle.
You can break the walls and be able to make rotation to another room or break the floor from the top or under and cover the objective or do the same thing as an attacker.
Use this knowledge to your advantage dependning on the map as it can change the game and make a living hell for the enemy team.
Barricading
The defenders have the ability to place unlimited wooden barricades on windows and doors which are use to block line of sight and rotation for the attacker but be careful on your placement as they may backfire on your teamates when they try to rotate back to the objective.
Barricades can be shot down and melee in 3 hits but if it's that weak then why do it:
As a defender it gives you intel it tells you where the enemy team is because if they want to push through they would need to usually break the barricade.
Tip for an attacker: When trying to break a barricade door and window do not use certain gadgets like breach charge or ash launcher or zofia launcher. It's better to shoot it or melee as it doesn't waste your gadget which could be use for better uses. The only time a breach charge is allow on a barricade would be on the windows when your trying to rappel breach in.
Reinforcing
The defenders also have the ability to reinforce which are iron walls that make the walls impenetrable to bullets and all breaching ability except for thermite and hibana. The ability will help make certain room safer for the defender and make attackers have to waste utility or push from a different area.
Gamemodes
There are three gamemode in siege: Bomb, Secure Area and Hostage
In the option, you can choose your matchmaking preference on certain gamemodes you want off or no, I recommend only turning bomb on as it is the only gamemode that is in the competitive scene while the other two hostage and secure area should only be gamemodes for fun and not be use for rank as they are usually one sided based on the maps.
Bomb
Bomb is a gamemode where defenders will have to defend the bomb from being defuse and attackers defusing the bomb by planting the defuser. The defuser can be drop and given by teamate and can only be planted in rooms where the bomb is and it takes 5 second to plant the defuser but after planting the defuser it will take 40 seconds for the bomb to be defuse. When the defuser is planted the defender will have to break the defuser by going on it and hold f which allows an animation of breaking the defuser to happen. Defenders can win by time running out, defusing the bomb or eliminating the enemy team. Attackers can win by successfully defusing the bomb or by eliminating the enemy.

Secure Area
Secure area is a large room that attackers will have to clear and take control of the room till the bar of the objective meter is full. The objective cannot be captured when two different sides from the enemy team are in the objective. Defenders can win when time runs out or eliminating the enemy while attackers can win by capturing the objective and eliminating the enemy.

Hostage
Hostage is a pretty basic gamemode where the defenders will have to secure the hostage and not allow the attackers to grab and extract the hostage. The attackers can win by bringing the hostage to an extractioin zone which is a red marker outside of the building or by eliminating the enemy team while the defenders win by killing the enemy team or when time runs out. Be careful as there is friendly fire in this game and this affects the hostage whoever team kills the hostage loses the round so be careful where you aim.
Operators and utilities
Operators are wide range of characters in the game with unique gadgets from each other. There are now 36 operators in the game excluding the recruit. There are 12 different CTUs in the game and are categorized into 2 different postion attacker and defender.

By Steam user St.Black user on his steam guide operator icons and birthday
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=902422364
Recruit

Recruits doesn't count as an operator because he doesn't have a unique gadget, cannot put attachments on his weapons, and on defender only have one reinforcement.
The unique things about recruit would be being able to have two utilities and having every weapon of the original 5 CTUs.
Recruits do not have claymores or impact grenade.

Utilities
Attackers:
Grenades

Grenades are expolosive utilities that allow the attackers to take out or drive out defenders from positons that aren't in their line of sights. Frag grenades do 142, 120 and 105 maxium explosion damage dependning on theier armore type. The grenade can be cook as it takes 4 seconds for the grenade to explode so it is recommended to throw the grenade before 3.5 seconds as it can explode in your hand. You can also cancel the grenade by switching back to your weapon rather than throwing a wasted one. Grenades can also be use to destroy utilies such as barb wire, deployable shield, barricades and castle wall. Only break utilities for certain stituation such as no operators in your team have the ability to break it or to clear out a utility to make it easier for your team to push. Becareful when cooking the grenade as a distinct sound will be created when cooking the grenade. When defender have rook armor the defender will go down rather than be kill. The defender also have the option to throw the grenade so when throwing the grenade cook it so the defenders won't have time to throw or escape from the blast.
Breach Charge

Breach charge are detonated charges that allow you to break destructible objects such as non-reinforced walls, barricaded door or windows, castle walls and floors. Use breach charges to create new line of sight or entrance for your team but don't always break every wall as it could make it easier for defenders to flank you and your team. When placing breach charge on a window while rappeling you have an option to rappel breach which basically allows you to jump in while blowing up the barricaded window. Becareful when placing the breach as if enemies are close to the wall they can hear the sound of the breach being place and don't stand to close to the breach charge as it could kill you.
Smoke grenade

Smoke grenades are grenades that produces a cloud of smoke that covers a line of sight. Smoke grenades are a game changing utility as throwing a good smoke can allow your team to get to cover and setup planting the defuser or pushing on to the site or run away with the hostage but remember smoke grenades don't block bullets or stop enemies running through so don't expect to be completely safe when a smoke is place down.
Flashbang

Flasbang are grenades that blinds any nearby player looking at it or at a close proximity of 3 metre. Using flasbang allow you and your team to push the defender while being blinded but be careful as the effects of a flasbng don't last that long. You can also use flashbangs on Jaegar's ability as one gadget of his can only stop two grenade type projectiles. Remember when pulling the pin it will make a certain sound.
Claymore

Claymores are mines that projected three red laser beams of up to a distance of 3m. The claymore triggered when an enemy steps on the claymore. A claymore does the same damage as a grenade depending on the enemy armor type but when a defender use rook armor the defender will go down. Claymores are use when an enemy jump out outside the building or to cover your back when pushing a certain room and I do not recommend using this gadget if you have no map knowledge as placement of this gadget is key. And keep note as a defender can shoot the claymore and destroy it but remember it will usually expose your stituation as a claymore has it's own sound when it's destroyed.
Defender:
Nitro cell

Nitro cell is a remote detonated explosive that is usually use to eliminate enemy team or to open up walls. What makes the nitro cell different is it has the ability to stick an object allowing for pre placement c4 that will allow you to kill enemies from under the floor or on top of a door. When a nitro cell is place it will make a beeping sound that the enemy could hear. Also when pulling out the nitro cell a ripping sound will be created. Be careful around bandit's gadget as placing your nitro cell on it will destroy it. Shield operators can survive the explosion of the nitro cell when looking at the direction of the nitro cell so try to throw the nitro cell behind the shield to kill them rather than just damaging them. Nitro cell does 171 points of damage versus Light Armor (144 vs. Medium Armor & 126 vs. Heavy Armor
Barb wire

Barb wire is a utility use to utility to slow down a movement of the attacking operator and create rustling sound which the defenders can use to their advantage to slow down the enemy push or expose their position. When placing down barb wire place them at areas where the enemy might come from such as doorways of the objective room or hallways your watching or covering. A barb wire can be destroyed by 2 melee hits by aiming at the middle of the barb wire and by explosives. Don't place a barb wire on top of a barb wire as the effect does not stack.
Deployable shield

Deployable shields is an addititonal wall that protect the person standing behind or infront of it from bullets and explosives, it can also be use to block windows to not allow enemies to jump in and doorway to force them to vault through which expose more of their bodies. Placement of shields are very important as a bad shield placement can give an advantage to the opposing team. Sheilds can be destroyed by explosives.
Impact grenade

Impact grenade are use to open up walls to create easier rotation for your team or open walls to do unexpected flanks or to confirm kills when an enemy is down and behind a wall. An impact grenade is not like a grenade or nitro cell as it blows when it hits an object. It will take two direct impact to kill a light or medium opponent and three for max armored so don't use these grenades like an actual grenade as if the grenade lands at an enemy more than 2.5m away it will do no damage.
Operators: SAS
The Special Air Service (SAS) are the British CTU of the game.
The members of playable SAS characters are:
  • Sledge
  • Mute
  • Thatcher
  • Smoke
Weapons:
  • L85A2- The L85A2 has a damage of 47, magazine size of 30 and a rate of fire 670RPM (Recommended primary weapon for both Sledge and Thatcher due to less recoil and higher damage and anmo count)
    (Available for Thatcher and Sledge)

  • AR33- The AR33 has a damage of 41, magazine size of 25 and a rate of fire of 749RPM.
(Not recommended due to the low amount count and having higher recoil than the L85A2)
    (Available for only Thatcher)

  • FMG-9- The FMG9 has a damage of 30, magazine size of 30 and a rate of 800RPM.
(Not recommended primary weapon for Smoke as Smoke secondary machine pistol is a better option than this primary)
(The recoil of the gun is pretty low, has good anmo and fire rate and an average damage but using this will remove some versatality)
    (Avaible for only Smoke)

  • MP5K- The MP5K has a damage of 30, magazine size of 30 and a rate of 800RPM.
(Recommended primary weapon for Mute as it's more versatile than his other primary due to the firefights it can take)
    (Avaible for only Mute)

  • M590A1- The M590A1 is a pump action shotgun, has a damage of 45 from each pellet, shoots 8 pellets per shot, has a 100RPM, magazine size of 7 and doesn't use a magazine.
(Recommended primary weapon for Smoke as it allows Smoke to open walls and floors to create new line of sight and rotation for his team and due to his secondary it makes versatile for him to be able to take fights long range and close range)
(Sledge can also have the secondary SMG why not recommend the shotgun due to it not being able to the secondary machine pistol not being able to equip an Acog sight it make him less versatile at longer range due to defenders usually being less expose than the attackers)
    (Avaible for all SAS operators)

  • P226 Mk 25- The P226 is a seconadry pistol that is semi automatic with a damage of 50, magazine size of 15 and rate of fire of 450rpm. The P226 has a bit of kick so it could be hard to take long range fights.
    (Available for all operator)
(Recommended secondary weapon for Thatcher and Mute as it is their only secondary choice)

  • SMG-11- The SMG-11 is a secondary machine pistol with a damage of 33, a magazine size of 16 and a rate of fire of 1270RPM.
    (Avaible for Smoke and Sledge)
(Recommended secondary weapon for Sledge and Smoke as the secondary allows you to put a scope on it which gives it more precision, has an average damage and has the fastest rate of fire in the game which means it has a fast time to kill. The gun disadvantages is it's high recoil and anmo count but it's rate of fire outweights the disadvantages.

Operator

Sledge is a 2Speed2Armor attacking operator that wields a Breaching Hammer known as "The Caber" as his gadget that allows him to breach through destrutible surfaces. His role based as a gadget is wall breacher His loadout includes M590A1 and L85A2 as a primary, the P226 and SMG-11 as a secondary and a utility of 2 frag grenades or 3 flashbangs. Sledge's role based on his gadget is to breach non-reinforced surface to create new line of sights.

Recommended Loadout
  • Primary-L85A2
  • Secondary-Smg-11
  • Utility-Grenades

How to use Gadget
  • His gadget allows him to break any breachable surfaces and can destroy certain gadgets in one shot such as barbed wire and Castle's wall.

  • The hammer has a durability of twenty five charges and when breaching a wall consumes two charges while breaching a barricade and hitting anything else takes one.

  • When using his gadget to break a wall it will make a square hole big enough for a player to vault through but for a quicker way to go in to room would be to crouch while using the gadget which allows you to keep on moving forward without having to stop to vault over.

  • When using his gadget to break a wall it will make a square hole big enough for a player to vault through but for a quicker way to go in to room would be to crouch while using the gadget which allows you to keep on moving forward without having to stop to vault over.

  • When an objective has a breakable surface from the top break the floor from the top to create line of sights over the enemy to make the enemy have to move position or take the fight. Sledge's gadget is not able to break surface on top of him due to him not being able to reach it.

Mute is a 2Speed2Armor defending operator that is equipped with four signal disruptors which can be use to jam communications of drones and remotely detonated gadgets. His loadout includes the MP5K and M590A1 as a primary weapon, P226 as a secondary and nitro cell or deployable shield for his utility. Mute's role is to deny info to the enemy team and support the team by denying entry to walls and hatches.

Recommended Loadout
  • Primary-MP5K
  • Secondary-P226
  • Utility-Nitro cell

How to use gadget

  • Mute's jammers are devices that can be placed on the floor to jam electronic at a radius of 2.25m in radius and 2.5m in vertical. When placing his jammer try put the jammer on a side of a doorway or spots that won't allow the attacker to shoot it or a twitch drone being able to destroy it.

  • The jammers can be use to not only jam drones but also be use to jam 2 walls or hatches but take note that the jammer won't be able to jam a hatch unlesss it's set on an elevated surface such as a table.

  • The jammers can counter certain characters such as Blitz not being able to activate his flashes when standing next to a jammer, Dokkaebi phone call not being send when standing next to a jammer and being able to jam remote detonated explosives behind a wall or on top of hatches.

  • Mute's jammer can be synergize with castle which prevent attacker from using remoted detonated devices behind a castle wall as it's being jam.

  • Mute's counters are IQ as she can destroy the jammer's from under the floor or on top of the floor by shooting through based on the map and the floor, Twitch who can break the electronic by shooting with her drone and Thatcher who is able to throw an EMP grenade to take out any electronic at a radius of 5.2m.

SAS 2
Thatcher is a 2Speed2Armor attacking operator that is equipped with three emp grenades that allows him to disable all electronics within in a certain area. Thatcher's loadout includes the L85A2 and AR33 for primary weapon, the P226 for a secondary and claymore or breach charge for his utility. Thatcher's role for the attacker is a gadget destroyer or support for your team.

Recommended Loadout
  • Primary-L85A2
  • Secondary-P226
  • Utility-Claymore

How to use gadget

  • Thatcher's EMPs are throwable devices that almost all of the defender site's electronic.

  • Thatcher's emp has a radius of 5.2m which allows him to destroy electronics through the floors and walls of the game.

  • Thatcher is best synergize with reinforced breacher character such as Hibana and Thermite usually reinforced walls are created for the defender to cover entrance or line of sight for the attacker which with thatcher makes gadget like mute or bandit easily destroyed with one emp.

  • Rememeber to take note you only have 3 EMP so be careful on what you waste the EMP on and make sure the gadget your destroying will contribute helping the team and be game changer.

  • Counters to thatcher would be Jaegar's gadget that allows him to destroy any grenades being thrown and Echo's gadget only being temporarily disabled rather than being destroyed.

Smoke is a 2Armor2Speed defending operator that is equipped with three gas grenades. His loadout includes the FMG-9 and the M590A1 as a primary, the P226 and the SMG-11 as a secondary and utilities of barb wire and impact grenade. His role as a defender is to deny entry or to waste time.

    Recommended Loadout
    • Primary-M590A1
    • Secondary-SMG-11
    • Utility-Barb wire

    How to use gadget

    • Smoke gas grenades are remote detonated grenades that release a toxic content that deals 15 damage every half a second to any operator including his teamates who stand in the gas. Remember to take note of this as the hostage can die to the gas grenade. The gas grenade last up to 10 seconds.

    • Smoke is the only operator immune to his gas grenade which allows him to run through his own gadget without taking damage but remember the gas grenade doesn't hinder vision aswell as a normal smoke grenade.

    • The point of the gas grenade is to stall as much time on the attacker to not allow them to get to the room or deny the plant. He is best use in the gamemode bomb as he can deny 30 seconds of the time when the enemy tries to plant.

    • His gadget is best synergize with the utility of barb wire because barb wire reduce the movement speed of operator which makes it harder for them to escape the gas grenade without taking a huge damage or even getting killed.

    • His only counter would be when the gas grenade is pre placed and operators in the role of gadget destroyer such as Twitch, IQ and Thatcher are able to destroy it and detect it.

Communication
Communication is the number 1 most important factor of this game without it this game wouldn't be called a team game. To start communicating you would want to learn the maps and the callouts of the map. The best way to learn the map would be to go to a custom game and go to each room of the map and look at the bottom middle right of the hud which a compass should pop up with the name of the room your in. Another way would be websites like this https://www.r6maps.com/ that tells what each room is called and where they are located but it can be hard to tell due to it not showing picture of the room rather a blueprint view of it.

When learning the map you could experiment ways on how to defend and attack certain sites but remember if you don't have a full team don't expect people to listen to every word you say or understand the setup or placement of gadgets you want. The best ways I learn to watch setups would be channels like https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6k-gn9VICNXUusw5_mS0wQ who explain tips and tricks with detail on how it works rather than just showing it he also explains how it affects the game and what it can do in a round. Another channel would be https://www.youtube.com/user/emo182kidd who does makes clips of him playing the game but everytime I watch the clips he makes especially the older one he makes me learn something new you can do in the game and the setups or placement and gadget of the game that could lead to a round winning victory. The last channel would be https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWKHac5bjhsUtSnMDFCT-7A which is the pro league scene of the game the caster that explains the defender setup and where the attacker will push to gain control and just the players placing the gadget or watching them play makes you want to use their strats they use in your own match and see if it could lead you to a round winning victory.
Ending: Thoughts on the guide
I want to know your opinion on the guide and what I should add or improve on. I'm sorry if the guide didn't help you as this is my first time creating the guide and I will try to update the guide as much as possible especially with the new upcoming operator and the changes they are going to add to the game.
