Haha. I played a bit of Grandia II as well. The story was fine, but it was the battle system that really impressed me. I haven't seen that sort of time/distance/position aware turn-based battle system elsewhere, though admittedly I haven't played many JRPGs since that really interested me. Just a few big ones like Lost Odyssey(Really disliked not long after Cooke and Mac) and FF13(couldn't keep playing because I had a hard time putting together the convoluted story and vocabulary). Persona 4 is great though.

I keep hearing rumors of Shenmue HD and SoA HD already being worked on, I hope its true, so then there may be a chance of getting sequels. With so many games referencing past Sega games, I really hope that means Sega will be bringing back more Saturn and Dreamcast classics.

Even though it was a fairly traditional Japanese RPG, Skies of Arcadia really was great, all consoles considered. It really is the only legendary RPG to come out of the Dreamcast library though. Grandia II gets an honorable mention, but only because it didn't have much in the way of competition on this console. The Evolution series was mediocre, and Record of Lodoss War was a boring Diablo-clone.

It is a shame that Capcom never brought an El Dorado Gate compilation to North America.
