Report a translation problem
First of all you should add the functions by using the postinit functions instead of overwriting hounds.lua completely.
Second, as far as I've seen there are no functions added to alter the targetting behaviour of hounds. I haven't tried this with other players, but I guess your pet hounds might still attack other players, which would be very frustrating for co-op and extremely unfair for PVP.
Third, for game balance reasons, I think there should be a limit of at most 2 hound followers, because too many followers just obliterate any giants and take the whole thrill out of the game.
