Killer Biography:
Faye Astra always knew she was meant for show business. When a traveling circus passed by her village, she was quick to abandon her home and join the merry band of misfits.
A desperate need to be in the spotlight, she pleaded with the Ringmaster to take her in. She quickly became his forbidden favorite, showing off her flexibility by the means of several acrobatic acts.

The other circus members took a liking to the young and hopeful teen, among them a charming lion tamer, Leonard, who came to care for her a great deal. A romance blossomed between the two and they grew closer over the years, much to the Ringmaster's dismay.

Eventually, as Faye became an adult, the Ringmaster wanted her all to himself, and in a jealous rage he took the lion tamer's life, disguising it as an accident.
Heartbroken, the girl refused to participate in any more acts, but the Ringmaster's promises of greatness if she returned were too tempting to let herself grief much more.

Many of the other circus members became enraged when Faye started appearing in more and more of the show's numbers. One of them started investigating why the Ringmaster had decided to favor the girl so much, and discovered the leader's dark secret.

By now, Faye's feelings had become entirely numb as the Ringmaster had taken advantage of her heartbreak. However, when she learned how her former lover died, she went into a frenzy. She let loose the felines Leonard had trained, resulting into a slaughter.

When the authorities found the circus in shambles, they could barely make out the identity of the bodies.
Faye was nowhere to be found.

Normal speed: 112%
Speed when using Cane: 105%


The Whip

The Whip is the primary weapon of the Ringmistress. Not meant as a weapon to kill in the first place, being hit leaves a sharp stinging wound.

The Cane

The Cane is the secondary weapon of the Ringmistress. If it points at a Survivor of choice for long enough, a spotlight will shine and an afterthought of a circus performer will appear from the victim's shadow, ready to hunt.
-Similar to the Shape's stalking, the Ringmistress needs to have eyes on her victim to charge the Spotlight. Shadow apparations will disappear over time.
- Whilst using the cane, movement is limited and usage of the primary weapon is disabled.
- When timed right, the Survivor can choose to 'join the act' by passing a skill check, resulting in a small animation to make the shadow 'theirs' again.


Perks:

Feline Movements - Be able to jump windows 10/11/12% faster. Enables the ability to jump over pallets like survivors can for 1/2/3 time(s).

Unique until Level 30, at which point it becomes a Teachable.





Show Stopper - After a Survivor is taken by the Entity, see the aura of the remaining survivors for 3/5/7 seconds if they are more than 12 meters away from the Hook.

Unique until Level 35, at which point it becomes a Teachable.






Acrobatic Acts - Years of doing acrobatics have given you an advantage. Be able to scale up to higher ground by other means and surprise your victims. Acrobatic Acts has a cooldown of 200 seconds.

Memento Mori

In the first shot you only see the Ringmistress's lower body as she smacks her whip to the ground.
From your shadow a puff of smoke rises and from it appears a lion. It tackles you down and rips at your throat, leaving you dead in an instant. The Ringmistress pets the creature just before it disappears.

"I found another person in the Fog today. A woman with the flair of an entertainer. She carried a confident act as she searched one of the chests near me, only to disappear later. Some time after she left, the item she had taken was suddenly at my feet. I do not know how it got there, but when I stumbled upon her again she gave me a knowing wink. She seems to know a few tricks to both help and fool everyone around her. Almost magically, I felt a moment of hope at seeing her, before disappearing in the darkness once more." --Unknown

Name: Marielle 'Mary' Linus
Ethnicity: Belgian
Role: Witty Illusionist

Survivor Biography:

Street entertainer gone famous. Marielle ‘Mary’ Linus used to be an awkward kid, her attention never staying on the conversation if it wasn’t about her. Her ever needing urge to be seen clashed with her need to be doing something, anything. A classic case of great entertainer/ bad listener, Mary learned a few magic tricks early in life, which helped her start a conversation that would mainly be centered around her and her abilities.

But party tricks become old, and soon she was alone again.

In her teens, she’d gotten so bored with the people around her that she used her illusionary trade to get what she wanted; little things, but always something with great value. Before it was missed, Mary would be long gone.

At some point her parents found out, and while they didn’t bring in the authorities, they were disgusted that their own daughter was a criminal and kicked her out of the house.
Years passed and Mary eventually straightened out her act, though the magic tricks she’d been acting out her whole life never ceased to bore her, and she kept a side-job as a street magician.

At some point she’d become quite famous in her area and was scouted to be a grand illusionist. However, after her first big gig she disappeared.

Some say she cracked under pressure. Some believe her past has gone to haunt her.
The only thing that’s certain is that she’s caught the eye of someone, or rather something.

Sleight of hand - make the item you’re carrying appear at any survivor’s feet by passing a quick series of difficult skill-checks (think: Snapping out of Madness like, but faster and smaller skill-checks).
Much like dropping an item, a sound will be heard.

“There’s a quarter behind your ear! How’d it get there I wonder....”

Unique until level 30, then becomes a teachable.




Now You See Me - luck based; when jumping in a locker in the Killer’s line of sight, have a 5/6/7% chance to teleport to a different closet in a 5/6/7 meter radius.

“I’m freaking Houdini!”

Unique until level 35, then becomes a teachable.




Hat Trick - plant a bunny in a hat anywhere on the map. In a 12/16/20 meter radius, you can activate this decoy so the crows in the area attack it, distracting the killer.

“It’s either you or me, Mr. snuffles. No hard feelings, right?”

Unique until level 40, then becomes a teachable.

I love reading about and seeing other people's takes on ideas for new Killers and Survivors so I came up with a few of my own.
I was going to add something about a map for the two, but decided against it in the end (too many details lol).
