This Mod is a small revamp of the Advent General in the base game. Also know as the Advent Field Commander.

I personally felt the nasty olive green of the base game General was out of place and felt being a General, he didn't have any BITE to him. Very easy to kill and weak as far as abilities. A General should feel like a General. So a few of us put together this little rework.

The Advent General has a full new look. A deep wine red and gold. Very much shows rank and that hes ELITE. The General has gotten a bit of a HP boost (2) HP more across all Difficulty levels. He also can now call in reinforcements and has a custom GOLD Advent model number NEKO-90 sidearm. This sidearm hits a bit hard and with it he gains a few abilities.

Abilities on the Advent version
Soul Harvest - Like that of the same ability XCOM Reapers use. Kill shots with the pistol grants +5 to Crit to a max of +20.

Faceoff - take a shot with the pistol at all visible targets in range.

Return Fire - Once a turn, can fire back at a target that fired at him.

FanFire- General can fire 3 shots with the pistol at a single target (only tier 3 Generals)

The General can now also show up in other mission types instead of just the Hunt the Field Commander mission.

The General can now also drop various things on a % chance. He may drop intel, supplies and even has a chance to drop one of these custom GOLDEN Advent Sidearms.

The XCOM version of this weapon is a bit more powerful (for balance reasons). If you should find one, the Pistol will grant Soul Harvest as above but does not grant Faceoff or Return Fire (GENERAL ABILITIES ONLY) as those 2 abilities can be gained by your Sniper anyway. HOWEVER... the XCOM version hits like an XCOM Beam Pistol and has a +10 Aim and a +20 to crit. With Soul Harvest, you could end up with a +40 to crit if used right.

I realize that a fully decked out Golden Pistol might be a bit silly but its all in good fun. Worth a good laugh but worth having if you find one. For those that might not want to use it if you find one, or you're just in need of supplies, it can be sold at the Black Market for 200 supplies.


A Second new look has been added for the Advent General. This look will start to show up mid to late game and brings with it Advent Laser Weapon Tech and some new Advent Honor Guard to protect him. They too also have Advent Laser Weapons and abilities like Rapid Fire, Demolition Shot and Laser Slash (Laser Sword) that will cause burning and Disorient effects.

ALL GENERALS can now buff Advent forces with stat increases that last 2 turns. Full list of all Advent I have added so far are in the mods ini file. If you want to add more, you can.

I've always thought that one should be able to skulljack a general unit to complete the campaign objective because, after all, a general is an officer. I think this would be a good mod to add that property to the general unit, if you're interested.

One problem I would like to address is the fact that the general can return fire after being successfully mined with the skulljack. Shouldn't they just die outright? And if they're skullmined when stunned or frozen, the pistol fire animation freezes up and it forces me either quit the game or reload my save.
Why on earth you would refuse your mod to be made compatible with Enhanced Ragdoll Physics is beyond me but whatever

When we say it is incompatible with Enhanced Ragdoll Physics And FX Mod, does that mean it will actually cause issues, or that these new character models just simply won't have the new ragdoll physics?
