Hollow Knight may be a little "basic" in the metroidvania genre, but sometimes the basics is exactly what you need. But does that mean the game is hollow? That it's not filled with hidden mechanics and great game design? Or is this another must buy in a year that's making an assault on your wallet? That it's filled with a lot of smart decision making and fantastic vision from Team Cherry? That's what I'm here to find out.
