"The real question is why can't I play as Tom Cruise.

Another metroidvania? Well, it is one of my favorite genres, but some times fate just gives you a code to work with. And while I haven't seen the new Mummy movie, I've played a majority of Wayforward's library of games. So, can they bring this franchise back from the dead? Will the game be better then the movie? Why is a witch that's 3000 years old have that smooth of skin?

Scoring System:
90+: A day one/immediate buy, regardless of genre.
80-89: A Solid Buy for all cases, unless you're hurting for cash right now.
70-79: Purchase for lovers of the primary genre right away. Otherwise, wait until the game has a reasonable sale.
60-69: Only pick up the game at a significant discount.
Less then 59: Not worth a purchase, avoid.

In all honesty, regardless of the flaws it has, I'd say this game is much better than most other tie-in games to certain movie franchises (like the terminator and friday the 13th games by LJN). The most ironic thing is, despite how bad the movie was, the game is actaully much more enjoyable then frustrating compared to good movies and the shitty games that they're produced from. I'm just purely baffled...
