The story
a few months ago, i met this man on steam named ghplane who got scammed big time and the community harrased him for his stupidity and for losing his whole inventory to a scammer... everyone but me.

i added him on steam and he was very grateful to have added me because he inded was telling the truth... the sad truth. the scammer took all of his good items he said, and he shows me his scammed inventory which was remeants of uncommon wheels and a few crates but nonetheless nothing. so i took a major risk and gave his 3 crates, which may not seem like much but the future he had was filled with luck. and i was glad to have been his friend throughout the months to come.

he quickly gained back his inventory value to something of great fortunes. his un common wheels became exotics, from exotics to colored items and i soon realized, after talking with him, that he was recieveing major overpays, including when he traded a painted derby for white diecis. his invotory rose over the years and now today, we remain very good friends and now i share this knowledge with the community. this is my guide to rocket league trading.
Step 1: research
the key to any good trades are to find the right deals. you may have a small inventory now but people are willing to overpay in smaller items but they are in turn worth more than you bargened for. look for smaller deals first, you may not have some of the items people want but thats the point to researching and looking for the right deals. you may also want to use value guides to find out the items worth before selling the item on the market for other items.
Step 2: Take the risk and ask for crate values
before you perform a trade with an overpayer, your next step is to look at thier profile and check their rep. if they have a private account, they most likely have scammed in the past or have a bad reputation on other games so its best to avoid that. once your sure that the guy your trading with is legit, take the risk. chances are, even if you do get underpaid in certain trades, it wont happen to all trades.
Step 3: dont get greedy too quickly
i know your eager to get your hands on white Zombas but even the people with white zombas took alot of time trading to get those items, so you should too. most people will offer you crates for your items or other smaller items like i mentioned earlier, but thats ok. once you obtain anywhere between 30 crates and 50 crates, which can take some time and alot of researching but all that effort does pay out in the end, you can obtain the bigger targets like keys or even painted zombas or other colored exotics or boosts. just rememeber to use item value guides on steam or on the alpha console discord, to help you determine if your gonna get a big sellout or your trade sellout will be a bust.
Step 4: look up other guides
im not gonna lie, even the best traders learn from other big traders to learn how to get the most out of trading. even ghplane, the guy i helped after he got scammed, used other guides to help himself. you alternatively can use the alpha console discord to ask questions about trading. or even other people.
Thanks
If you are reading this, your have reached the end of the guide. so i hope you learned from the guide on how to become a better trader, if your still confused, you can always ask questions with the community. they may seem like a bad bunch of apples but they know their way around
