in a nutshell, Sledge is not a breacher, he's really not, Sledge is a meme that manages to work, and i'll explain essentials in playing him in order to meme the enemy and support your team.


Sledge has one of the best kits in the entire game in my opinion. The L85A2 is very reliable with little recoil control required and a decent rate of fire. If you enjoy Shotguns, his shotgun is also quite nice, and can often catch defenders offguard with rushing, or holding an area.

As for Secondary's Sledge has two amazing options: the SMG-11, which is the common pick for most SAS operators, and the P226 MK, the handgun. Smg-11 can be very versatile with high firerate and accurate points. However, and I might receive hate for this, I Like the pistol better NOW, before you hate this guide and think its stupid, heres my defense:

1. The P226 has an amazing DPS rate when you know how to aim.

2. Most people use SMG-11 for firerate as a backup automatic, but if you run into a damage firefight, P226 and a fast trigger pull saves you quite often, from what I have seen.

3.Silverballer when its silenced

Anyways, Sledge also has the option of a Hand Grenade, 2 of which he can carry, or 3 Stun Grenade. Obviously, you can guess the uses of both the grenades and most of the time its a matter of preference for use.

This is my L85A2, how I like to run it usually. I prefer holo sights for accuracy but you can often use acog, compensator's pretty nice to dampen most recoil from the gun and obviously a vertical grip makes your life easier. And I have the laser sight on for memes, ignore it.

That is my P226, where in reality the laser sights for hipfire and the muzzle brake is for one taps. Silencers just for hitman memes.

I won't be showing shotgun or SMG-11 bc this is going to be about my preferences specifically. Besides, most SMG-11 and Shotgun setups don't have too many variances, just use whatever you prefer.

Also, Grenades and Flashes are going to be glossed over juuuuustt a bit for the sake of this being a quick guide. Bite me.

This meme can break walls down faster then Poland can get annexed, and its amazing how useful this is when you know what your doing. Sooooo, i'll explain how to use his ogrehammer.

Shrek's hammer is a unique meme that shatters rooks one unreinforced wall to help his team get into the OBJ. Because of how Ubisoft is braindead, they made it a solid square that you have to vault or crouch through. BUT. Because this screws over mobility, theres a few diffrent tactics for destroying walls like all of my relationships.

1. The Rushing Ashledge

If you crouch and swing a bit early while going to a wall or barricade you can keep moving while destroying a wall, which although can be a bit tedious it saves time and can come in handy for Rushing or quickly escaping.

2. The Trenchwarfare

If you destroy a little above head level a part of a wall, a small part of the wall will be open that you can peek at head level, but not crouch or prone, and you can't vault through. You don't use this for entry but instead for holding angles and possibly hiding

3. The Coreross

Coreross made a video on this, it's where you hit the wall at a certain angle and it hits a hole large enough for you to walk through without crouching. I recommend watching it.
